Has anyone had their glasses yet? I ordered mine over 3 weeks ago and they should have arrived by now..

Don't worry, they will arrive soon. You will get an E-Mail when they have been sent.
  • My Mum got her glasses today - 2 weeks after email to say they had been dispatced. Came with Royal Mail tho so that maybe to do with strikes.
Glasses are amazing. Mum ordered 2 pairs and both are very good quality, would easily have paid 5 times the price each in the shops.
I don't need glasses but if I did... I'd order

  • I got the red frames - the lens quality is brilliant - it was like the window cleaner had been when I put them on! everything clear... the hinges on the frames look like they may not take much stress but fine for driving I think and came through customs postmarked hong kong 3 weeks after the order. I will definitely order again.

I brought glasses from Selectspecs however they are not the £8.50 ones due to the frames not suiting my face and being too large. My frames cost £15 and with the lenses the total came to £40.

They fit perfectly mainly as I copied the exact sizing of the frames I brought for £340 six weeks before in the optician. I should point out my last pair of glasses from the optician lasted 4 years and normally I have my frames altered for me though this time I managed to find frames in the optician that didn't need altering. Also while the lens quality of the selectspecs pair is good the frames are not as good as the opticians.
    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p

(If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)
  • If you go to your opticians, are you required to buy your specs/lenses from them or are you able to get a prescription and go elsewhere? I know they would frown on it!
Thank you to all posters - very appreciated! :)

Of course you can go elsewhere. By law they have to give you a copy of your prescription.
  • Sounds scary lol
