Yes, I have tried to contact them via email. Just had the standard replies though. I guess I just have to sit and wait.0

Thank you again for your help. x
arushofblood hope you don't think I was being judgemental cos I certainly didn't mean to come across that way, and trust me I'm not in the slightest.
If you do a get ban and have tickets in hand for events that your stuck with PM me might be able to help you out.
Also how do you get on with your neighbours? The girl next door to me got herself in a similar situation and she now runs her internet connection (and hence ebay account) through the wall into my house ;+)0 -
not sure if it will work or not but on https://www.ebay.com (the us site) there is a 'live help' button on the right hand side that enables you to 'chat' to someone. maybe worth a try?0

have you got any 'alerts' when you sign in? or in your 'my messages' there should be an email detailing your suspension? if it is there you should be able to reply to it direct (do it thru ebay rather than your mail handler)
that should 'speed' things up...0 -

I wouldn't call myself a habitual shiller. I've tried to explain that I wanted to WIN the auction as I thought it was my only option to prevent a sale which I tried my hardest to explain to bidders that I couldn't complete.
I haven't been caught before or suspended.
I didn't really want to disclose my full identity. No supicious reason there other than I didn't think it was necessary and still don't.
no worries then your not gonna get a permanent ban - note to self 2+2 doesn't equal 50 -

No worries dodger65, I didn't take offence in any way. I may well get banned for life I guess but hopefully I'll just get a warning. It truly wasn't my intention to break any rules and I've learned my lesson. If I have to start again then so be it. It's just a shame when you've put so much hard work into something and established your reputation. Again, please remember that I've not always relied on ticket sales.
Thank you for the offer with the tickets, that's very kind of you. Just how far away are you from me so I can cut a piece of cable to length ?0 -

deepest darkest sarf east london so probably not very practical - but like I said if it's a first offence they're not gonna hang you sure you'll be up and running in no time.0 -
if it helps - i have my main account plus 2 others. 6 months ago one of my other accounts was suspended. i carried on using my 'main' account without realising i was breaking ebay t&c by using an account whilst another was suspended (the truth). a while later all my accounts were suspended.
in order to un-suspend my accounts i had to first resolve the account that was initially suspended, which i did. it took a week or so. emails back and forth etc. once that account was restored, i got my main back.
it was a first offence & i too learned my lesson.
things may have changed 6 months down the line regarding how ebay treat suspended accounts, but i do doubt very much that they suspend you for good for a first offence0 -
Can I just clarify one thing. Ebay don't work on just ip's to 'connect' users. Don't forget that you either have to provide an email address with a fixed isp (Wanadoo or NTL or whatever) or a web address like Hotmail backed by another form of id like a bank account.
There have been some incredible stories on the unmoderated boards about ebay getting trigger happy by linking similar names and addresses and banning the lot when one user gets suspended, even where the users are unknown to each other, this is why they always follow up a ban with requiring sight of formal documents etc before they will reinstate you. Obviously if your name is John Smith and live in the High street you have more chance of getting accidentally banned than if you have a weird and wonderful name and live in a unique village.
Ebay do sometimes pull out all the stops with bans so trying to hide behind a new email address may not be sufficient. We had a thread on here recently where one of our regulars had found a user with the same telephone number as a banned user and made a report. Likewise, I got a user banned purely on his address details as he re registered after a ban but kept the same postal address (he was a nasty bit of work though and sellers are well rid of abusive buyers like him).
We are all jumping the gun here and must remember that in all liklihood the OP has just a temporary ban. However, it is worth bearing in mind for other cases that in the case of a permanent ban you have a very good chance of getting caught with a second id.
