"what part of the initial thread makes you think it is gonna be a permanent ban? if this is a 1st offence suspension, he will be able to get his account back aslong as he agrees to the terms in the emails that ebay send him (unless this suspension is down to something so severe)"

the fact that the OP seems to be a habitual shiller seems to have been caught before and doesn't seem to be divulging the full facts of what has occurred (which is of course her right she's not on trial here ;+) is what led me to that conclusion but hey I hope I'm wrong.

"i dont actually think ip addresses have anything to do with ebay tracing you - it's down to personal details supplied"

What I was saying is if the OP get's a permanent ban then an IP adress ban for account registration is likely to follow.

I'd like to thank you for all the advice you've provided me with. I genuinely am greatful for the support this forum provides.

Guess I'm going to open a can of worms here...

Yes, at the moment I do rely solely on Ebay for my income. I'm a single mum with 2 children to bring up and a mortgage to pay.

I know for some selling tickets is one hell of a discussion point, and your views are respected. I know as well that sounds hypocritical else I would stop selling them !

I genuinely am desperate for the money at the moment though, I was selling others stuff up until recently when my source dried up. All the tickets I purchase are purchased ligitimately and not fraudulently. All are listed with a starting price of just 1p and with no reserve and I never charge more than the secured postage required. I have 100% feedback after 700+ sales ( not all ticket sales ), I work hard at providing a friendly and personal service.

From my feedback and also the grateful, excited and thankful emails I receive after transactions, I do genuinely believe that I and others are able to provide the oportunities for others, who missed out on tickets for whatever reason, the chance to purchase some. At the end of the day though I would prefer to sell something else !

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and it's a good thing to be able to discuss issues, but I would be grateful if I'm not slaughtered to death on this forum, I really do have enough stresses in life at the moment.

Thank you again for your help. x

There are sites which you can use that hide your IP address, you go on these sites and enter the website you'll like to visit, in this case eBay, then eBay cannot see your IP address and cannot ban you or whateva. Also, if eBay is worth alot to you and you do earn a living out of it then the only way to get round this problem would be to get a new internet provider and your IP adress will change, though this can be costly in the sort term it is worth it in the longer run. Am i right?

    Hope that helped.

Don't know lazy but if soolin's out there it's something I've always wanted to know - should google it but I'm lazy.

have you been booted off before? if not, then just communicate with the bay, agree to any terms they send you in any emails & you 'should' get you account back within the week

    Please dodger65:

I wouldn't call myself a habitual shiller. I've tried to explain that I wanted to WIN the auction as I thought it was my only option to prevent a sale which I tried my hardest to explain to bidders that I couldn't complete.

I haven't been caught before or suspended.

I didn't really want to disclose my full identity. No supicious reason there other than I didn't think it was necessary and still don't.

Thank you Stuart P. Having not been 'booted off' before I'm hoping you are right and that I can just take a weeks unpaid leave. Time to get those jobs done ! Best trip over to the DIY forum !

have you started any communication with them yet? go into the 'contact us' section & just select the appropriate options until you get to the 'account suspension' bit
