Hmm that seems very democratic doesn't it! Elect representatives then don't let them make important decisions. :wall:jeannieblue wrote: »Thanks Adouglasmhor.
Out of the eight letters I sent (on behalf of company and staff ) .......... one to MP and seven to the MEP's, one has replied! Didn't really say alot, but then I read on www.r2.rc.co.uk that MEP's and MP's have no say in the Block Exemption as the EU Commission decide what is to be done or not done, and the MEP's don't actually have any influence! Which makes me want to ask, why are we paying for these MEP's?? We have seven for my town, its not a big town!!0 -

As Crabman indicated - we could be banging our heads against a brick wall here. Any suggestions welcome!Genie

For starters their expense allowances make our MPs look like angels :rolleyes:jeannieblue wrote: »It does make you wonder - why.......... ??? What do these MEP's actually do?
They supposedly have a policy called "sign in and sod off" where they get a daily payment just for signing in, irrespective of whether they do any work.
Goldspangles for EU Council President!

Right-oh - my German friend, Hertz mit Stollen, replied to say a vehicle must be serviced by the main garage to retain its warranty. And yes it's more expensive than a smaller garage.
You'd think if that's the case German consumers would want the block exemption and given how much weight their views hold that would be quite a substantial plus point for our little campaign. I wonder whether there is a German equivalent for the independent garages association that we have here :think:goldspanners wrote: »pardon? tonight was a very sociable meal with friends and i was driving. you paint a very bad picture of me on here.
I have visions of goldspangles meeting his acquaintances at the high commissioner's mansion being served high tea and fresh scones by Jeeves the butler. Which I'm sure is what really happened last night.
