There were people walking from mile 2 :eek:

Imagine having to walk 11 miles :o

 That's a bit bad isn't it! I don't think I would turn up if I couldn't run at least MOST of it.

Well done to all the runners!

Buffy, sorry you're having a bad day.

I've had a loooong day so I'm sitting here with a calzone, wedges and wine. I was going to have a nice lunch in a country pub on the way home, but since I was in the middle of nowhere and it's Sunday I couldn't - apparantly the thought of serving food as late as 4.30pm is a bit exotic for out there.... Just gonna veg in front of the telly for a few hours now.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

I didn't get chance to watch any of it. :( Ah well, maybe next year I'll be there. I can have an almost guaranteed charity place for next year if I don't get in, but I'm a bit rubbish at raising money, so I'd rather have a ballot place.

I think the highlights are on later tonight on BBC1 ;)

I'm very proud to say I didn't have to stop or walk at all.
People did stop very early to walk which was frustrating.

The hill at approx mile 8-9 is a real slog but you just have to get your head down and get through it.

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.
  • Evening all,

My housemate Amy was meant to be moving in today but the a*sehole who was meant to be giving her a lift bailed out at the last minute so her mum's bringing her up later in the week. I've eaten nothing but chocolate and crisps all day and predictably feel like sh*te. I'm going to have to book a doctor's appointment tomorrow, I can't go on like this. I've been trying so hard not to go onto anti-depressants, as I was raised to believe they were bad, but I think I'm going to have to. I know there's a few people on here on them, from what I remember. Have any of you had any side effects, if you don't mind me asking? And can you honestly not drink at all on them or is it just that you can't get trashed? Because I usually have one drink a week at a social, two if I'm feeling very flush. :D Surely an amount that small wouldn't be a problem?
