No Nanc you aren't being a baby I think you should ring them but they may tell you to ring the (don't mean to frighten you) swine flu hotline. Your symptoms are a similar to that (but doesn't mean you have it obv.) I don't know what the procedure is if you are pregnant though hth x0

kindof - my MW didn't seem interested in discussing those sort of things until the scheduled 'birth plan' appt which I think is around 32 wks (maybe later)?
ThanksI didn't want to say anything to her incase she thought I was being stupid lol
Does anyone know were I can find out if my hospital even has a birthing pool?
No you arent being a baby nancmat, I would ring the docs too, if you have got swine flu I think there is an inhalor you can have, my mam got swine flu and because I had been in close contact with her I had to have the inhalor. But I didnt use it, the doc said I didnt have to use it, but it was best to have it incase I got swine flu?Debt £30,823.48/£44,856.56 ~ 06/02/21 - 31.28% Paid OffMortgage (01/04/09 - 01/07/39)

Musogirl - I had bleeding which started off similar to what you describe at 11 wks. I went to A and E as I had cramping too and bad back ache and was convinced I was miscarrying. They can't do much to reassure you at this point to be honest except for give you a scan. They asked me lots of questions and gave me a heart trace and felt my stomach but couldn't really do alot so told me to go to the drop-in Early Pregnancy Unit the following day for a scan - not all areas do this though and I know EA has had trouble getting a scan in the past so I think it depends on where you live unfortunately. This was an internal one.
Luckily the sonographer was able to show me the baby waving and said she couldn't see any cause for me to bleed. It carried on for a few more days then just stopped. I think it is fairly common so try not to go out of your mind with worry although have to be honest I did at the time! It doesn't definitely mean something is wrong though. Hth x0 -

Have you rang MW to see when your next appointment is? I would have thought you would have it now?
I am seeing mine again at 25 weeks (with the scan at 20 if they ever give me an appointment lol)
Aless I totally agree with you I wouldnt want someone in the house while I am trying to give birth etc, I am sure you won't have offended him
Does anyone know when I should talk to MW about birth? like I am liking the idea of a water birth, but I need to know if the hosp does it etc, am I to soon to be thinking/talking about all that?
Not yet, i was going to ring her about the not hearing a hb at lunch, but i didn't want her to tell me to stop being silly so i didn't lol.
In my notes it says the next app is between 16-20 weeks, and most people i've asked in Portsmouth have had theres at 18 weeks. So only a week and a half to go
Have you called the hospital to see when your scan would be?

If you join up with netmums http://www.netmums.com and put in your postcode you will be able to look at reviews of your hospital and it should tell you how many if any birthing pools are there.0 -
I ould have thoughy your appointment would be through by now though?
I know its different all over but at my 8 week one the MW told me to ring after scan when I know exact dates and book appointment for MW for 16 weeks for downs and spine testing, then when I was there she booked me in for my 25 week scan (which is at end of Nov sometime).
Yeah the MW rang for me on tues and they said "its going through the system" how they can justify the length of time it takes is beyond me lol, they said if I dont hear by 2 weeks (after the tues) to ring hosp and they gave me direct lineDebt £30,823.48/£44,856.56 ~ 06/02/21 - 31.28% Paid OffMortgage (01/04/09 - 01/07/39)

Thanks guys, sorry not to get back straight away. After I posted I had a piano student come for a lesson so couldn't do anything.
Been to the loo again and the papers clear this time.
Think I will give the midwife a ring. Haven't met her yet, shes supposed to be coming on monday for first appointment.
