Had a convo with my dad last night and had to set him straight...when my mom died (last month), we invited him to come stay with us for 3-4wks when the baby is born. Well turns out he got the impression that we wanted him there for the BIRTH and immediately after. Eek, with all the birth stories of leaking, bleeding, stitches, puking, etcetc. the last thing I want is to stress about someone else in my house!! We were envisioning him coming about 2 weeks after so we'd have time to get to grips with being new parents and bond with baby before another person came along. He seemed to understand, but I hope I didn't offend him! It's not that I mind him seeing baby immediately after birth, it's just I don't think I could deal with stress of him living with us during that transition period, y'know?
My mum and dad were accidentally staying when I went into labour. Cos everyone knows babies don't come on their due date right!? Dad drove home in a huff and mum stayed in the spare room all day :rotfl:musogirl295 wrote: »Have just been to the toilet and on wiping noticed some light streaks of pale pinkybrown on the paper after. Is this normal or should I worry? I haven't had any pain or discomfort. I'm nearly 8 weeks. Really worried now.

Obviously best to check it out, but try not to worry too much as there can be implantation bleeding. I had it at 7 weeks with Fergus. Aless, no, nothing was resolved with my dad before he went back to Spain. Me and OH were due to have a chat with him the weekend my friends husband died suddenly so it got kind of just left. He's not said a word about his plans to come back again other than he'll be back in November..hasn't asked us if this would be ok!! Well fine, he can come over by all means to see his new grandson but I don't want him here when Im due and I certainly don't want him here in the first few weeks, OH has just 2 weeks paternity leave and I want us to spend it together-just me him and the kids,to adapt to the new routine together without having someone else there in the house!! And if he thinks he can come for weeks and weeks on end then he will have to be told that he can't...and knowing how hormonal I'll likely to be straight after the birth-I don't have any worries that I won't be able to tell him and risk hurting his feelings!love my little man he is amazing :j0

Just seen a woman in america is pregnant and conceived againShe found out at her scan that the babies are 2 1/2 weeks apart http://m.www.yahoo.com/?fr=fp-grpj If the babies come on there due dates one would be born this year and the other next year lol but they will most likely come together.

Then told my parents about the PG
Oh well, it's done now! They'll come round.... and other optimistic phrases
Hope you're all ok.
Surely we'll have some more birth stories shortly :T:T:T:T

Aw Weezl what did they say? I'm sure they will come round. My mum shocked me yesterday by referring to my bump as "our baby" as she has been in a kind of denial about it since we told her (if I have mentioned anything about it she's changed the subject) and been fairly disparaging of it in general until now. Actually when we broke the news to her she said I'd spoiled her breakfast! I wouldn't mind but it's only my second and there's a 7 year gap:eek:0

Ah, Weezl.
Sorry to hear that the reception to your news wasn't what you would have hoped for. But I'm sure they will come round.
Many people on here (well parent thread now since everyone else's baby seems to be punctual - unlike mine:mad:) will remember that my parents were very upset when I announced I was having baby. Though I was announcing that I was going to be a single mum at the same time and they are pretty old fashioned. But they have really come round and are just as excited as me now. They have bought the pram, mum is knitting, dad put all the furniture together and as you know in the last few weeks they cannot do enough around the house and garden to help me out.
I was extremely upset at their reaction at first but they have had to adjust just as much as I have and are now being brilliant.
I truely hope your family start to feel the same soon.
In the meantime, we are thrilled for you. xxxxxxCross Stitch Challenge member 11 - May challenge well under way

Ahaha i love the peeny dance! I make him do it all the time to cheer me up
I was going to write that in the thread "what does your OH do that romantic?" lol. Cause he does it to cheer me up! :rotfl:
Anyhoo..
Guess what i found
Yes thats right!
A HEARTBEAT! Well i think it was hehe
It sounded like this, "whob whob whob whob" i did make a recording but its so quiet. The heartbeat sounds far away lol. And i only got about 4 seconds of it recorded before i lost it again. Usually all i can hear it "Wooooooosh"
I found it in my pelvis with the doppler tipped back a bit.0
