My stomach is doing flips. I've been to the loo (the runs
) 3 times already so far today, seems to be straight after eating anything, I know this could be a good sign that labour is very near now, body clearing out and all that but then again how would I know it's that and not the fact I've been purposely eating spicier foods than normal to try induce myself!?
Going for a nice relaxing warm bath soon, although I don't know how relaxing it will be cos ds wants to get in with me
Ooh hopefully the runs is a good sign, I remember them telling me that at antenatal too, although the spicy foods maybe helping hopefully its a combination of both thingsHope u have a nice bath, I do love a nice bath.

For some strange reason I had an odd moment and decided to use the smaller cutter, and so I've ended up with minature scones which is quite peculiar - a bit like cordon bleu scones I would imagine, if such a thing existed! Oh well, I've got some nice strawberry jam and they taste delicious smeared with that.
But now you've got me thinking 'cheese scones'......yum.........
Ooh I like the idea of little ones, means u can eat more, lol!! Well after telling DH i was making cheese scones, he decided he would prefer cheese straws (Men!!) not that I think there is much difference!! Anyway, I went with this so at least someone else will eat them bar me. They are just out the oven now, look nommy (still loving that word!!), if I can work out how to get a pic off me mob onto here then I will post itI made a special one with an M on to give to our older dog, as that is the initial of our younger dog that died at the weekend, little things like that seem to be helping me in an odd way!! Silly I know!!

Hi I'm back,
I'm really gutted I have to say and am in tears now. Went to see the midwife only to be told at 2.40 (appointment was for 2.20 and had been there since 2pm) that no midwife had showed up and would not be coming! Everyone else didn't seem to mind as they weren't far along but I couldn't believe it! I asked if there was a community midwife who could come out and they took my number.
Anyway a midwife just rang and when I told her that I wanted a sweep as have an induction booked for Thursday and wanted to avoid it she rather coldly said "If you don't mind me asking, why do you not want your baby to be induced?" The thing is I don't even have a birth plan, I'm not hoping for candles and massages and this and that and I know that whatever happens as long as the babies best interests are looked after I will go with it. However I feel like it's going to be horrible and all my rights are going to be taken away. To go in and have to say goodbye to OH and then be in all that pain in front of various people that are in for totally different reasons until they decide it's ok for OH to come back is awful. I wanted to be home for most of it like I was for 12 hours of it when I had DD. I think I said before that I got put on the anti-natal ward when I was in labour last time and it was horrible I couldn't even get a couple of paracetamol from the staff and people were just sitting around staring at me because I was crying out in pain.
Anyway she said someone will ring me tomorrow which sounds a little too late really. I know it probably wouldnt even have worked but at least I would have known I had tried everything. If anyone has any positive stories about being induced I'd be really grateful to hear them as I must admit I'm really scared.0 -
I cant eat laods but then spend the next 4ish hours bringing up small amounts of food/sick in my mouth
Woohoooo! I have just got all of my shifts up until i start my annual leave! And they are all early starts, so bascially the good ones! So happy
lol x0 -
I used to have trouble eating Kindof, and I too can eat for england, lol. I used to find I felt kinda sick if i had too much, very unlike me.
The convo about names for our privates has just had me laughing out loud, love it!!

Fidget *hugs* My friend was induced and as she was induced in the morning her mum was allowed to stay with her as it was within visiting hours, so hopefully they'll let your OH stay with you.
I hope they call you back asap tomorrow x0 -
Fidget - I am so sorry you've had such a rubbish afternoon. You have every right to not feel comfortable being induced, grr - what an unpleasent midwife! I'm sorry I can't help you with the induced stories as I've only had the one baby so far, and that started naturally, but I'm sending hugs.
Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky'
