  • Redstar - Sorry to hear ur not well today. Ha Ive gotten into the scone fever too and am about to make some cheese ones :) How did yours turn out?

They weren't the best ones I've ever made. For some strange reason I had an odd moment and decided to use the smaller cutter, and so I've ended up with minature scones which is quite peculiar - a bit like cordon bleu scones I would imagine, if such a thing existed! Oh well, I've got some nice strawberry jam and they taste delicious smeared with that.
But now you've got me thinking 'cheese scones'......yum.........

Kindof I've read it can take up to a few days for implantation to occur, so this is why the scan dates and your BDing dates sometimes don't quite match up.

I think (but don't quote me on it) that sperm can live for up to 7 days inside you (yuk just got image of them swimming around):rotfl:

I used the clear blue tests that tell you how far you are, and got 1-2 weeks on the Monday and 2-3 on Friday so must have been about 2 weeks then :) which is from when you conceived, not pregnancy tims just to be confusing. Don't get why we count from last period so are 2 weeks pg before conceiving? Anyone got any info on that or is it just another one of them things designed to confuse:confused:

MIL is getting on my nerves she keeps ringing me and although well meaning is just upsetting me. I'm really hoping that I don't have to rely on FIL for a lift if I'm in labour or when I go for my induction on Thurs as I think she will come too and try to get in my face a bit. She was saying on the phone that she'll be visiting me when I go in for induction - sorry but really not the first person I would want to see if I was in pain.
    QUOTE]

Hi - Fidget, I normally wouldn't say boo to a goose, but I was really concerned last time round about my MIL coming in when I was in labour, so I got DH to tell her as clearly as possible (but politely!) that I really wouldn't be in the mood for visitors until I had recovered from the labour. It still didn't stop her and I remember being in the throes of labour - still no baby at that stage and in a lot of pain (after about - oh 6 hours in hospital) being told by the nurse that my MIL and family were waiting patiently outside and did I think they could come in yet - perhaps they could help and I shouted really loudly 'NO, THEY CAN SOD OFF!.
In the 4 years since, I've never actually found out their reaction, and hopefully they won't want to come in this time. (I did feel guilty later).

Lou - Im slightly jealous of your sandwich, we had no bread so i couldn't have any today. All i had was a shape yogurt an apple and a pear :(

(And a bacon and sauasge bap for brunch :D )

Ea Sandwich was pretty good ham and philadeipha, also had a sasuage roll from greggs this morning, Going out for lunch tomorrow as a nurse is off on hoilday for three weeks then I go on ml so we wont work together for a while. It's sinking in even more and more, As any one else or did anyone else get like a corkscrew like pain just above their lady part ( I call mine a flower) which makes my best mate scoff and laugh everytime and say if that's a flower then I am the pope
Darling son born 10/12/09 hopefully the 1st of many :j
