The pain isn't bad, just like a period pain that comes in a wave ie. increasing for a few seconds then decreasing. Trying not to think about the pain and focusing on moving and breathing which are good distractions. Every 6 and a half mins apart now.

Maybe you should try the yoga relaxation techniques. You just concentrate on each part of your body and relax it until you have done your whole body, not forgetting head and between eyes. Then if you're still not asleep just try to focus on breathing and each though that enters your head acknowledge it then put it to one side, eventually it gets easier to just think about your breathing and you should fall asleep. If I find I keep thinking about things I have to do I always find it best to write a list then I'm not trying to remember them.

I think I have had a few contractions :j Got contraction manager going but it's hard to know when the contraction has stopped. Last ones were 7 mins apart, lasting 40s, I hope OH gets home soon as I will want some tea before I have to go in! Not really painful yet  just a bit like a period pain that comes and goes.

    Ohhhh fingers crossed

Ohhh this is sooo exciting is OH back yet?

  • Does OH know? Did you get a chance to tell him before he started making his way home?

It might not be a good idea to eat, i don't know it varries from person to person - just the gas and air made me feel queazy and i hadn't eaten, i think i would have felt worse if i did. I don't know - but at the same time if you are starving it might be a good idea to get some energy in you.....ooooh i am excited for you! x

Does sound like real contractions though as that is just how remember it - waves of period pains and tightening tum!

    Keep busy hun! x x x

  • True - just i didn't feel so good on that gas and air! Have just googled it - says if poss stick to bland easily digestable foods ;) I know that's boring but i think it's so if you are going to bring anything up it won't be too much.

I wouldn't worry about being sick though (i kind of feel i shouldn't have brought it up as i don't want to worry you hun) It happens to some but from what i know it's quick and over and done with, just like when you get the 'dodgy tum' just before labour to clear out your system in preperation.

But if you are feeling hungry, certainly don't starve yourself, that'd be silly! ;)

    oooh good luck jenny.

glad you had a good day today Helen.

Bump Jr is either trying to stretch my stomach to get more room or is trying to come out of my side Alien style. Ouch

I'm still driving. Not finding it painful at all. Will carry on until labour starts - I have appointments that I need to get to next week but nothing for after due date.
Tegan Lily arrived 4 November 2009 (3 days late)

Floyd Peter arrived 9th July 2011 (1 day early) :D
