    morning everyone

glamazon i think the first period is supposed to be heavier than your usual one but yours does sound like its worth checking with the docs. I was really shocked at the amount of blood after i had DD I dont know where i thought it would go but I just hadnt considered the fact that just because i was having a c-section there would still be loads of blood. Although I had bought pads so i was prepared.

SJ thanks for the support - i know you cant do anything or really say anything I'm just getting it all off my chest and ranting a bit sorry.

Bleeding has started again, everytime it stops i get a bit more confident about the pregnancy then it starts again and knocks me right back down. On a more positive note my little sister is going to come and stay next week to help look after the little uns and just incase OH is late from work again, it saves me that worry then, did half a shift last night.

Oh yeah and someone asked last night what they could take for colds and flu in pregnancy (i've been wanting to ask this without making it obvious to the locums that i'm pregnant), pharmacist said, paracetamol, honey and lemon and that is it, He said that is all that has been proved safe to use. I think we all knew that but it just confirms it and we arent missing out on something that might makes us feel better.

At work again :( but only a few weeks until i finish, woohoo!

Good luck to kindof and fishcake today for your scans!! I'll be refreshing the page all day until i hear news from you both :p

Urrgh, the blood in my eye has spread even more. It looks scary lol. Optition said its only a burst blood vessel though and its fine. But its not fine when i have one red eye lol.

How are you all this morning?

  • Morning everyone!

Congratulations on Team Blue Gymfiend:j and good luck to the scans happening today!

Well, DH picked me up some travel sickness bands to try yesterday. I wore them last night and I felt really wierd, ended up taking them off at about 2am! Decided to give them another try today. I've had them on for about an hour and I do feel a bit less sicky. I also can feel a warming sensation in my wrists - is that normal?

Might be brave and venture into town today and get something nice for lunch. Have been avoiding trips out for fear of throwing up outside waitrose again!

    Morning all

Good luck Fishcake and Kindof!! Cooperative, safe and well baby vibes for you both!

So, I realised why I was so awake last night (didn't go to sleep til about 2.30am )

I went to my mum's at about 7.30 and had a coffee! Think that must have kept me up! Don't normally drink coffee or regular tea much anyway and have had almost none whilst being pg, then last night I had a cup of tea at home before I went out, then a coffee at mum's to try and get baby moving a bit so she could have a feel! Will NOT be doing that again. I'm tired now! Didn't even realise that's what it was from til about 1.30am laying in bed, still wide awake

Muso - With the travel sickness bands are you wearing them right on your wrist or three fingers up? As my doc said you have to wear them 3 fingers up as the actual pressure point is there and people always get it wrong lol.

  • EA- Yeah I've got them with the ball bit in the centre of wrist 3 fingers down from wrist joint. It feels kindof warm and energising! I defo feel a bit less sicky and I've held my breakfast down for the first time this week. It's just a wierd sensation!

Morning! Soooooooooo sleepy this morning. Also incredibly tempted to stop in at McD's or similar for a huge bacon sandwich & coffee, but am quite poor (grr, need to pay stupid parking tkt) so managed to guilt-talk myself out of it.

Apparently I've started snoring! Am not amused. Us pregnant ladies are so classy...burping, farting, waddling, snoring, :p

I remember putting sickness bands on for the first time and it hurt lol.
The only effective cure for me was to be sick and get it over and done with.

Sometimes that didn't work though and the sick would make me be sick more, and i would be in a pattern of being sick all morning lol.

Its calmed right down now i've hit 20 weeks though, i only just be sick if i brush my teeth for to long.

I just worked out, i will be 26 weeks preg when twilight 2 comes out. I might call the cinema and let them know cause sometimes they let you before the queue if your pregnant :D :T

Aless - OH says i snore now to, and really loudly apparently. Infact he said i sounded like a beast!

Morning ladies, firstly congrats to cheapie and Madwoman!
    Congrats on team pink EA!!!

Wow, girls, having a baby is sooooo time consuming! I thought I was prepared, I really did but its constant washing!

His feeding (bottle) is going great, hes settled into every 4 hrs during the day and goes 5-6hrs at night! He was weighed on Tuesday and now a hefty 9lb5oz so hes gaining half a lb a wk which is perfect. Hes a gem of a baby! I actually couldn't wish for anything more hes so utterly perfect that I just can't keep away from him! I can spend hrs just looking at him and listening to his funny little noises, I have been truely blessed!
    Think everyone should have one!!!!152hwz7.jpg
