jha I will need to ask them to look at my notes, I did get a pain killer once when i collapsed and hallucinated with a migraine and they gave up trying to give me oral meds. It done the trick but it was so long ago and i was in so much pain at the time i doubt i would have noticed the side effects. will need to add it to my question list.

    And how's the cat?

I'm tempted to call the hospital tomorrow, not happy at todays events or at not knowing whats happening with GTT and anti-D, Perhaps it just PG hormones.

yeah i have already had a scan last friday, everything looked fine there and she said not to worry about any spotting. Today seemed more than spotting but stopped as soon as it started. I lost a baby just over a year ago and had a week of bleeding lightly before I lost the baby so every time I see it i just think its going to continue and get worse but it hasnt yet.

Not sure what else I can say to make it any better but really hope everything is ok for you and you aren't worrying too much. I was so freaked out by the 2 lots of bleeding I had but everything is fine now and it seems quite common.

No, havn't had it before (and Im not planning on actually using it to be honest,I will only use it as the total last resort) I had diamorphine with my 1st though, never asked for it,was just stabbed with it in my thigh then told I'd been given it!!

 This is one of the reasons I want a homebirth!! Speaking of which, keep orgetting to say, we are going to a session on HB at the hospital tomorrow night. Really looking forward to it and what they have to say about it.

Weezl - thanks for that, that's really interesting. Is there anything you don't know about?!

It's nice here and on the parent thread cos people on here actually care about what's going on with their PG and babies, so a bit of info sharing is liked cos everyone's trying to be the best mum they can be :A

Sorry gymfiend forgot to say glad the scan went well and welcome to team blue! X

Also forgot to say Helen - I've had no back pain either as yet but apparently if baby is back to back you labour in your back eek! That I know labour hurts but I don't fancy that!

OH googled back to back position and one site said 87 per cent turn during labour and strangely, that if baby's the right way round 67 per cent turn back to back!! Don't know whether to be reassured or not by that.

Spent over half an hour on all fours before and was really uncomfy. Don't know how to tell if it's done any good though will just have to see if I get any kicks at the front.

three - You are only a few weeks behind me and my gtt anti d etc are a week late due to me being ill so i would definatley give them a call tomorrow. My Hosp are particularly fussy about having gtt, antid and 28 week bloods done when you are exactly 28 weeks.

I have probs coming round from anasthethics and have been refused them in the past so that is why i have to meet anasthethics team - i presume as you are the opposite they would need to meet with you too to work out plan of action??

I am not sure what your midwife was on about because i am consultant lead (which i understand to mean high risk) and i get community midwife appointments at local surgery at 8, 16, 25 weeks and every 3 weeks thereafter 2 appts with consultant 18 wks and 34 weeks and all tests, scans and anti d done by a team of midwives in hospital. hth

Edit: This is all pushed through by an amazing team of midwives at the hosp though, - if left to docs goodness knows what care i would have got.

The cat is still going:rotfl: - somehow  i only saw her for the first time in 2 weeks yesterday and she started screaming at me to feed her straiaght away:rotfl:She sounds like something coming back from the dead already bless her:rotfl:

OMG don't apologise! I think it's great that you know so much! And that you are so willing to share / help others.

I agree though, it's really good to be informed. I personally want to do the best I possibly can for my baby (as does everyone else on here, like you say) and I believe the best way to do that is by taking other people's advice and help and looking at different ways of doing things.

On a totally different note, I'm just eating my tea, slow cooker turkey joint casserole with dumplings  I love my new slow cooker!!

Well i for one enjoy your facts even when they do not apply to me. Besides you look really clever when someone in RL talks about some thing and you can be clever in your reply all the time thinking "Thankx Weezl"lol

Do the tens machines for labor need to be battery operated i have a fab machine but it has to plug in?

Jha the CMW have been rearranged in my area and no longer work from the doctors surgeries. They have done it to apparently save PG ladies from unnecessary trips to hospital and free up the doctors surgeries for other clinic's (diabetics etc) and allow the hospital more time with high risk ladies. Frankly i see allot of problems in the future as they didn't really have a clue what was going on at the hospital or the CMW clinic.

Helen- you're right about the bum! No idea what it is then, or whether baby has turned. It's all so confusing.

Birth plans- has anyone actually written one? I discussed mine very briefly with my MW but nothing is written in my notes (not even my wish for a water birth) so should I make a few notes to take with me in case I'm not at my best when we arrive at hospital?! I love OH to bits, but I'm not sure how forthright he will be about my wishes when the time comes :rotfl:.

Hi GISI, just catching up but just wanted to say that all I have done is put a post it note in my maternity notes headed Birth Plan, with about 4 bulletpoints about my main wishes, ie. as natural as possible, gas and air, no pethadine or epidural unless necessary etc. HTH!! Also, my bump feels hard high up like just below my bbs, but apparently my baby was in the head down position when I had my scan last week, but I just cannot ever work out what is where, lol. I am feeling a low aching on my right lower side of my bump tonight though, confusing!!
