small world def fernlibee, west bletchley for me ,

baby been very quiet today , hb sounds fine though , just no movements, my scar has gone funny and weepy again, had a good luck at it with a small mirror , and there are 2 parts which are open slightly and very red around it , i am still on antibiotics, but everytime i go to the docs , they say oh yes , do you have a temp? no , is it sore ? yes, here you go some antibiotics it will heal in time , but i dont think its right to still be very sore and have 2 open wounds, but i'm worried about going back to the docs as i must of been once every week since my op,and theywill just say it will heal.

anyone else around my time get movements alot everyday?
Dont forget that little Thanks button , only takes a sec

Congrats to gymfiend on another Team Blue.

Thanks for the Cotbed snippet. I'm gutted I missed this as just ordered one the other day from Argos- never mind.

Totally freaked out following visit to MW for 39wk appt - baby is facing wrong way (back 2 back) so I'm now really worried that all my labor fears are going to come true - very long and very painful. Could have done without this especially after suffering pretty much constant nausea for 8 months too. If ANYONE has any tips or good experiences to share about such a situation then I'd be more than happy to here them.:(

Hi - My daughter was back to back, although I only found that out recently when I saw the consultant about this baby. He told me that that was the reason that I had a difficult labour, and apparently they only found out she was back to back when the surgeon performed the caesarian (sp!). He tried to convince me to have a VB this time, and assured me that if they found out the baby was back to back again that there are things they can do, including turning the baby to ensure that it wouldn't be difficult. Hope this reassures a little

nikkit sorry your scar is still causing you trouble.

SJ I havent even booked in with the midwife yet so dont have a number to call, it would be the docs still if I had to. Bleeding has stopped now so hopefully it was nothing. I book in on friday so I'll chat to the midwife then.

I'm gonna be 2 hours late for work, its hardly worth going in, it really isnt since it is a bit of a drive. My mum has stayed late to cover though and she wants to go home so I have to go in once OH is home. I bet its dead quiet too so i'll stand round for a couple of hours then close up, pointless.

We are only a few days apart. I am getting movements every day, and in bursts, I read somewhere about baby now following a simialr waking pattern to when they are born, ie sleeping for about 16 or 18 hours a day, so only short periods of time when they are awake. I find mine most active in the evenings, but that's possibly becasue I'm less active so am more inclined to feel it!
  • Gemma - really pleased you had a better day and your bosses are being supportive. My day was better today too, although the sickness has been a pain.

Have you had a scan yet? I think you have but can't remember sorry :o
Do you think it's worth going to dr's tomorrow and getting them to refer you to EPU for a scan? I did this as I had bleeding before I'd seen the midwife. The scan was great for reassuring us.

Been a bit naughty and had an out of date oatibix porride, but I can't see what coud possibly go out of date and do any damage in something dried like that? Feel sick now tho....but that might be down to the chocolate hobnobs I had while I was waiting lol

My mum brought over some 'store cupboard things I won't use' last week. I happily tucked into a can of cream of mushroom soup.

me: why'd'you buy it if you don't like it mum?
her: oh I didn't buy it darling, grannie did!

Eeep, grannie has been dead for a year and was in a home for 18 months before that . BB date was 2006

    Anyhow I'm still alive :)

Hope the oatibix treats you well ;)

SJ I also read that it's hard for both mum and fetus to draw energy down from the same stores at the same time, so the baby tends to be active when you rest. It's a good [STRIKE]excuse[/STRIKE] reason to have a sit down in the day, or we're all headed for a newborn who's up all night and naps all day! :)

yeah i have already had a scan last friday, everything looked fine there and she said not to worry about any spotting. Today seemed more than spotting but stopped as soon as it started. I lost a baby just over a year ago and had a week of bleeding lightly before I lost the baby so every time I see it i just think its going to continue and get worse but it hasnt yet.

My appetite is huge at the mo, I eat breakfast then my stomach is rumbling by 10am!! I'm also confused as to why I've gone from being very regular going to the loo (most times it was like when I needed to go,I HAD to go right then) to all of a sudden being very constipated!! I've not changed my diet or anything atall in anyway so can't understand it  I've started taking lactulose but it isn't helping much,..it hurts so much! And I've obviously ruptured blood vessells straining as I'm very sore and bleeding.

I have second breakfast most days :D as I get hungry again at about 10 after first breakfast at 7ish

Birth plans- has anyone actually written one? I discussed mine very briefly with my MW but nothing is written in my notes (not even my wish for a water birth) so should I make a few notes to take with me in case I'm not at my best when we arrive at hospital?! I love OH to bits, but I'm not sure how forthright he will be about my wishes when the time comes :rotfl:.

If you have definite wishes then make sure you write it down and tell OH too. I don't have anything definite so have decided to go with the flow. No strong thoughts on painkillers or how I wish to be when I give birth. One thing I want to make sure OH is aware of is that I want the Vitamin K injection for Jr.
Tegan Lily arrived 4 November 2009 (3 days late)

Floyd Peter arrived 9th July 2011 (1 day early) :D

I was thking about asking her for petrol, we used to get a lift of someone and we paid £1 per journey, I think she would be ok with this? and it would get OH off my back
Just catching up, will post about CMW appointment in a minute but thought i would comment, We went through similar with OH's family tried to be as polite as possible even to the point of counting pennies for our own necessary journey's trying to keep things civil, but in the end we had to tell them either pay for fuel before the journey or get the bus. Harsh but we once took them 40 miles when they assured us we would get the fuel money and they gave us £5 and said they'd give us another £5 if we came for them the next day. To them £10 for two 80mile round trip's was them being generous lol
