I've just started looking at travel systems, hoping to get one around the £100 - £150 price mark, but all the ones I've looked at so far seem to have rear facing car seats?

I thought all newborns were supposed to be rear-facing up to a certain weight? I could be wrong, but I thought it's supposed to be far safer.

  • I thought all Group 0 car seats were rear facing, and these tend to be the ones that you get with travel systems.

Some good info on it here http://www.babycentre.co.uk/baby/buyingforbaby/carseats/forwardfacing/

Somnium might be able to help you if she's on later.

  • I know aless i feel really stupid for trusting him now :o

Everyone is working today so there is no way i could get it all done today even if i wanted to :(

The thing that i am concerned about is that my tenancy for this house is still current and i signed the tenancy for the new house yesterday so that he would give me the keys, i think im definatly going to have to ring shelter they should be open today shouldnt they??

House phone is on charge at the moment and its likely to die if i try and use it now i forgot to put it on charge last night :o:rotfl:

i dont really know any of the neighbours well enough to ask them and from what i do know none of them have kids definatly not around her age anyway, i might just leave her in knickers for now and see how she goes and then sleep her on a pile of towels tonight :o:confused: It could be a long night though :rotfl: But maybe on the up side if i can get her used to it now she might not want to go back to nappies and might prefer to be in knickers

I have rang a friend of mine she has 3 boys under the age of 3 who are all on the same size as DD2 and she is gonna see if she can get over here somehow but she doesnt drive her OH is at work til half 11 tonight and again theres no trains running

If anyones looking for nice sports bras asda have got a black and bright pink one for £4 at the minute. Its for tickled pink cancer awareness so they get a donation from it too I think. They go upto quite big sizes as Ive ben struggling to get any from primark or similar as all too small. Ive put it in my hospital bag incase I am able to have a water birth.
    Belly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j
  • Karen this is my first too, Ive bought a big nightie that buttons quite far down and was planning on unbuttoning it and tucking baby inside sort of so she gets skin to skin and can attempt to latch on and feed too.

Im 36+1 today and agree the time has dissapeared, im sure its only a fortnight ago I was sat on my stairs dumbfounded with my BFP completely unable to speak until OH came home :rotfl:

Boogelly, I have got one normal t shirt style nightie and 1 button down all the way nightie that I am packing in my hospital bag and i also got to thinking about skin on skin. So maybe I should wear the button down one for the birth... so much to think about!!
I can't believe you're decorating Boogellyboo! It's all I can do to hang the washing out!

Ha me too, when I was helping my dad do those jobs the other day it was the best I could do to read out the instructions and pass him tools, lol!!
Im so stressed at the moment i cant stop crying i hate hormones :(

Hope u r feeling a lil better now PP, hugs.

Hi everyone, just caught up. Well indian was nomiliscious (is that a word?!) last nite, stayed out until about 11pm and actually didnt feel too knackered for once, it was quite quiet in the pub though. Still feel like Ive got a hangover today though.

This morning I decided to finish packing my hospital bag and baby bag. What a nightmare!! It wont all fit it, so Ive gone down from 3 packs of mat pads to 2, and 2 packs of disposable knickers to 1, and we are gonna keep the extras in a carrier bag in the car incase. Its still a total squash and I havent even got any day clothes in yet. Is it worth me posting a list to see if u think im overdoing it?

    xx

I think I've probably had more evenings out since I've been in ML than I have in the past year! I've really enjoyed going out with friends, but totally know what you mean about feeling hungover. It just goes to show that a big part of a hangover is tiredness!

I've managed to cram all mine in to a big holdall, plus baby's stuff in the changing bag. I think the problem is that a lot of the stuff is quite bulky so there's no real way to reduce it. I think the towels and dressing gown take up most of the room.
