Beenie to the MWs in your area practice 'controlled crowning'? Its a technique where they manually support the skin of the perineum as you push and it's very effective for preventing tears in quick labours. Perhaps you could request it? HTH xxx

No idea i've never heard of it! I will definitely ask about this at my next appt though, thanks!

Knowing my luck i'll have a 3 day labour after everyone saying it's gonna be about an hour :rotfl:
  • How long should you wait before getting pg again after you've had a miscarriage? and is it even more nerve wracking the 2nd time around? I was sooo scared that something was going to go wrong the 1st time, I really don't know how I'm going to calm myself down next time, any tips?
    Happy Sunday to all!!! xx

Aw was just gonna post to say it looked promising for you gisi. I still think you will go before me! I've read absolutley tonnes of birth stories on the net and 99% of those who had the bloody show, went into labour the same week! Well I haven't, so I'm starting to think I won't go into labour naturally (even though I have done twice before) Oh well, next weekend would be better anyway cos the kids break up from school on the Friday..so would be nice for us all to be together more in the first few days.
How is everyone today? I feel abit sick and am being bombarded with braxtons. Owwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!
love my little man he is amazing :j
  • Morning all!

EA - Can we eat Ben and Jerrys then?? I am totally confused on the whole ice cream thing so I have stayed away from it but I love Phish Food and I want some lol.

Well my brother and his wife were over yesterday with my mam to watch the Newcastle match

And my brother and his wife are going to buy these for babybean!!!

    Changing Table

    Sooo happy, thats just amazing!

    Just need the Wardrobe:

    And a shelf
    http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/20108660

    And the mattress

    YAY

We have that Ikea set in our room! We have the chest of drawers, 2 bedside tables and the big 3 door wardrobe! We were in Ikea yesterday and I was looking at that changing table too how funny!

We had lunch there too, Mmmm Ikea meatballs are the best!!

And yes you can eat Ben & Jerrys! You aren't supposed to eat the soft serve Mr Whippy type ice cream as (I think) there is a risk of listeria from it.

MASSIVE labour vibes if you want them, if not you can hang on to them for next weekend!!

Well I've been very good, got up and baked cupcakes ready to take over to see 2 different bride-to-be's later on. Hopefully that'll be 2 more wedding orders and that little bit closer to being able to quit my job ha ha!

Supposed to be going to Pizza Express today with that 2 meals for a tenner voucher but not sure when we'll fit it in as my appointments are at 4pm and 7pm, and DH is out playing football this morning and not sure when he'll be home. Hope it's not too late so we can go earlier rather than later.

    Morning all,

Som - hope you're having a lovely day at the baby show :)

Loving Bethan & Lochlan on the welsh names front...must stop reading about names, will end up changing my mind again!

EA only one more sleep! Bet you're dead excited?

Glam hope Jack's belly button is a little better today, poor thing, he's such a little cutie :)

I like the new name SJ, think it sounds better than the The Cupcake Lady, more creative :D Good luck with the wedding ladies today :)

I've searched all of eBay to try and work out where these boots came from, it's so random! They're really ugly and a really small size unfortunately so if I can't find their rightful owner, they're no use to me anyway!!

I'm pretty sure we're gonna get a sling now, the Calin Bleu one looks lovely Som. May have to try and make it to a sling meet, once I have a bump anyway! Feel like I'm waiting on this bump to sprout to do lots of things :rotfl:

Kindof - the nursery set is lovely :) Saw it in real life not so long ago when we went to Ikea and it looks just as gorgeous in real life doesn't it?

Three glad to hear your sister is doing well :D

I'm officially feeling cr*p - throat has totally closed up and my ribs really really hurt, not sure why, think it may be because my lungs hurt...eurgh. Went to MIL's last night with OH's brother, sister & partners, lovely to see the niece but the rest of the night was too much like hard work as I felt so horrendous. Had to drive home on all the country roads in the dark at about 11, thought I might end up crashing into a ditch as couldn't work out how to get the full beam on on new car, OH was laughing at me & recounting the first time I drove to his parents with him, he thought it was hilarious that I didn't even know that full beam lights existed on a car and certainly didn't know what they were used for - not my fault I've always lived in a city :p

SIL said as soon as we know what variety baby is to let her know, as she's got bags and bags of clothes from her daughter who's now 6 months, so half hoping for a girl just to be MSE :money: Eek can't wait now, only a couple more days til we know :D

Tempted to get OH to go and pick up some Ben & Jerry's for me now on his way back from the gym, it's dangerous coming on here sometimes :rotfl: I've got an excuse anyway, can't eat solid food as my throat hurts so much so hopefully he'll take pity & pop into Sainsburys for me :D

Gymfriend, it's a medically proven fact that ice cream, and B&J's in particular, helps when you are ill ;)
Hope you feel better soon though. Seems to be a lot of people ill at the moment.

I made white chocolate cupcakes and have 2 spare so I'm going to eat one in a minute, just product testing though obviously :D
  • SJ is so right- ice cream is definitely the best thing ever for a sore throat.

I really should get off my bum and go to the shops. I need the exciting items of a 9v battery for my Tens machine and a bin for the nursery...rock n roll! OH is in bed as he was on a night last night but it's always so tempting to just go and wake him up. I would not be popular though.

White chocolate cupcakes sound lovely. I'm doing macaroni cheese and apple crumble for tea tonight...nom nom!

Just text OH to ask if he'll get me some...then noticed he's left his wallet on top of the tv :( Nevermind, will get him to go out again once he's back :D No way I can go out, think I'd frighten the life out of other shoppers I look so bad :rotfl:

Gisi apple crumble sounds lovely, with lots of vanilla ice cream, yum :)

Agreed, the white chocolate cupcakes sound lovely :D I'm decidedly starving now!
