Fidget glad I wasn't enjoying breakfast whilst reading that :D Can the docs give you anything to move it along? Mum mentioned yesterday that they did when she was just starting labour with us - after I mentioned my fears of pooing in front of OH, doctors & midwives!!!

Nikkit I'd think get a 10, if the 12s you're wearing because of bump IYSWIM?

Pregnancy paranoia again here - just weighed myself, I've put on a sum total of 3lbs all pregnancy and am almost half way, umm...can this possibly be normal? I had no sickness and have eaten like an absolute horse, I'm really starting to panic :/ Would it be mad to go into the doctors to query this? Forgot to add, quite possibly this weight gain is just my eating as i've not been in the gym for a while.
    Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j

Nikkit, they say that you are supposed to go for your pre-pregnant size in maternity. I find they are all different sizes though I've got maternity jeans in size 12, 14 and even one in a 16 and I was a 10-12 before I got pregnant. The more they grow with you the better I suppose.

Gymfiend - I don't think it is anything to be too worried about as if you are eating enough then the baby will be getting it's nourishment. You put most of the weight on in third trimester I think anyway. If you are worried though is always best to mention it to dr or MW. Can't help myself being a tad jealous though!

They used to give you an enema before the birth but they don't do that anymore not sure the reason why as surely it is something that would help after the birth also - I'm no expert though it may bring it's risks. Im just trying to eat non-processed foods at the mo and not too much as the feeling of it sitting in my stomach isnt nice. Have only been doing it a couple of days though so I'm hoping I will see some benefits before anything happens.
  • Hi, this is the first time I've been on this website, a friend recommended it to me as she thought it may halp. My husband and I went for our 12 week scan last week, only to find that we lost the baby at around 7 weeks, this is the hardest thing I have ever gone through, does it get any easier? x

gym - I didn't put on weight for absolutely ages even though I was never sick and ate very well. Of course, I started off with quite a bit...extra...(lol) so that's prolly why! I'm put on exactly a stone since pre-preg and am 30 weeks, so don't worry!

ARRRRRRRRGH it has already been one of those mornings where I want to throttle the world! First, my normal train was delayed/cancelled so I wound up standing on the platform for 25 minutes. Then when a train did come it was of course absolutely mad-packed so had to stand totally squashed (baby was not happy about that) for another 15 minutes until finally got a seat but only for last 2 stops. Then it started raining on the walk into work. Grrr arrrgh p!ss! Of course I consoled myself with a Gregg's sausage roll (I blame you lot!) but I have a fair amount to do today and need to leave by 1pm to get to my antenatal classes - not a day to get into work late, in other words!!

Sorry, rant over. I know it pales in comparison to others' difficulties like 3 & Beenie...

I know PrincessP was moving house but haven't heard from her really since she got her bad news...hope she's okay. And always has been quiet, too.

All these news stories about swine flu vaccines have me REALLY undecided. I normally am against flu vaccines but the scare-mongering in the media is getting to me, too. Wonder if they will mention it in the class today.

EA - I didn't feel kicks til quite late. I don't think they start worrying until like 22wks or so.

nikkit - start out with your pre-preg size and go from there. It's so stupid...some trousers from same shop in same size are too big & others are getting too small at 30wks! annoying...

Hoping to pop into H&B after antenatal class today...hubby offered to go for me, but I just laughed as I think the list would scare him off!

I'm starting to stress about the *cough* effects of the iron tablets and the birth. Someone posted a birth story and said that during, it was found that her bowels had become impacted and doctor had to intervene  - it's scared (obviously not literally) the shoight out of me! Ooh just noticed you've posted about suffering the opposite musogirl. I had this happen a few times earlier on but it was only the odd episode and eventually calmed down. It's the iron tablets that's causing the problem with me. I would honestly stop taking them but my mum had to have 2 transfusions each for me and my bro. I just wonder how if nothing is coming out how a baby is going to manage to come out (sorry if you are having breakfast)!!

Got the Harvest Festival this afternoon or "harvest vegetable" as my DD calls it. I hope she sings and doesn't go all shy on us as will be hobbling down on my crutches!

Had a dream last night that I was a single-dad and looked remarkably like David Tennant, I was going on holiday to Australia and I kept losing my child on the way. Maybe it was the dried figs I had for supper.

:rotfl::rotfl::T:rotfl::rotfl:At harvest vegetable!!! That's so cute!

As for helping you go, I'm sure Glam had somehting on her to buy list to help soften stools for afetr the birth, think she said you could get a scrip for it so might eb worth asking Dr about that. You caould always PM her about it to ask what it was called. (Or the almighty knowledge of Weezl may enlighten you!!! :D)

    morning ladies ,

    a quick question , maternity wear ? i was a size 8 - 10 b4 pg , now i fit in 12 trousers, do i buy size 12 maternity or 10 maternity ? ive no idea

beenie , sorry to hear about your ex, my 3 kids dad is a waste like that too

Think you are supposed to go with pre-pg sizes, but I would suggest trying them on if you are RL shopping as I think they are pretty inconsistent.

Did you know if your pregnant and train is packed you get a free upgrade to first class? I think you need to write to the train company for a pass or something like that. Im sure i read that a few weeks ago lol x

Hi Jenny, i had a missed MC at 8 weeks back in April, only found out cause i went for an private early scan. It is hard to start with but it does get easier i promise.

    **hugs to you**

Quite a few ladies have had a MC and gone onto have a normal succesful pregnancy. Just remeber it wasn't your fault, so dont blame yourself. And good luck for the future x

    Morning,

Three so glad your sister came through the op ok yesterday, hope it's the start of things really improving :)

Beenie I'm so sorry about the ex, what an absolute a*se, at least you're well shot of him though :)

Well I'm cream crackered, had myself up til silly oclock worried sick about OH as I hadn't heard from him all day - I'm a worrier as it is but by 11pm I was in tears (pregnant & hormonal and a bit mad anyone?!), called his hotel to be told he wasn't there then really started to poop myself. Thank god he rang at about half 12 to say sorry his battery was almost gone so hadn't been able to call til he got back to the hotel. Bless him, he felt awful as it was obvious I'd been in tears, can't wait for him to just come home tonight now so I can stop worrying. Is it just me or does pregnancy make you seriously panic about everything?!

Kindof - definitely using sleeping bags :) Already got a couple & reckon they're the best thing for stopping me worrying every 5 minutes and having to check!

Awww so sorry you were worried about OH I am pleased he got in touch
