    Hiya everyone,

I'm still posting from my silly phone so I hope this doesn't get lost!

32b - hugs to you - I really hope that there is still hope with what is happening with your sister. I wish I could offer more comfort than that really. My thoughts are with you and your family x

EA - I really hope you find your ring. I lost a lot of weight just before I got pg and lost my dead aunties platinum wedding ring that I'd had on since I was 14 . I gave up all hope then 5 months later it was found when an IT guy moved the desks round at work! It was lucky someone picked it up too as although it meant a lot to me it really wasn't much to look at and could have been mistaken for an old washer or something! I'm sure yours is more eye catching and so will be found easier.

Always - I think at the moment you need reassurance so I would ring but in the meantime I'd have a cup of coffee or a coke and chocolate and have a sit down as the more active you are the less you can feel baby. Hope everything goes ok for you hun x

welcome and congrats mermaid. I took OH to hospital apps but not one mw
    app.

OH is on hol from work this week and is driving me crazy already. He has cleaned livingroom though. It's good that I can get him to take dd to and from school without relying on mum with me not able to walk there myself. Still getting horrible period type pains and not a clue whats causing it. Got mw and dr appointment tomorrow so will mention it. I remember with contractions the pain is felt much higher up on the top of your bump so am looking out for that now. Seriously with all the different pains I'm getting at the moment - I would not want to live with me!! I can't wait not to make whingey noises evey time I move lol!

Hope everyone is having a good day x

On the being related question, a friend of my sisters had to answer yes as she and her hubby are distant cousins. Shes originally from india and its not unusual there I believe. I was like ! when the midwife asked me but I guess it's just something they need to know.

LOL actually my friend had a baby with her very close cousin (their mams are sisters) eek lol

thank you everyone - just been trying to find the midwives number as being the hopeless mother I clearly am in not even being able to keep my son growing properly, I don't have my notes with me and I know my latest (and nicest and seemingly most clued up) midwife wrote her phone number on. I've managed to find out that the maternity assessment unit is open for self referral but called DP and he thinks I am being paranoid and everything is OK - he says he felt some kicks when he got up for work at 5 this morning (I vaguely remember him rubbing my tum just before he got up but I was half asleep!).

Have just fed him some cold diet coke and a fat tuna sandwich, lets see if that does the trick, seems mean to keep prodding my belly!

    ****labour vibes to helen****

Fidget - hope the pains ease off for you soon or that something starts for you

Always - you are doing a great job with your baby and dont think any different <<hugs>>
I know you are facing a really difficult time right now and are having to have 2 weekly scans? but your baby is really in the best place for the moment and you are doing a great job - just count those kicks if it gives you peace of mind. Was it Mrs Moc that just took it day by day and think of it that everyday baby stayed in and was ok was a day better iyswim. And when it was time to arrive - even if it was early that was ok too and in the baby's best interests and everything that could have been done had been to give it the best start
Sweetie <<hugs>> where are your notes? Can you keep them nearby? I am always checking where mine are - lol.

Helen - Not too pleased with your possible que jumping but huge labour vibes anyway!

JHA - glad to hear that things should start getting better for you soon.

Fidget - hope you get to find out what is causing the pain tomorrow. I still haven't had any twinges of any sort

Hiya! Can I join please! Just found out I am pregnant with baby no. 2. Cant believe my DD is going to be a big sister :D She still seems like a baby to me but she is 16 months.

I'ts very early days, but I have told family and will prob tell friends too, I can't keep a secret. :D I know everyone feels differently with whether to wait until 3 months or not, but I feel that I have to think positively, and should the worst happen then I will have lot's of support.

I knew I was pregnant as I have bad morning sickness, I started at 1 week pg just like with DD. I also have been feeling soooo tired already, can't imagine what the end will be like! I didn't have it so bad with DD.

Think I will be due about 22 June, 2010 Anyone else having a summer baby?

Just want to talk about it though, I'm so excited! :D
  • I have some good news to share! DH just rang to say he's got a promotion and a payrise!:j:j He's now a Senior Programmer instead of a bog standard one and the payrise means that when I stop working and am on mat allowance we'll only be about £100 a month worse off! Think we might have to have a celebratory chinese tonight!

Best wishes to 32B and all those that are feeling rough.

I beat my throwing up record this morning but hopefully i've seen the back of it for today as I have to go visiting students in their homes later this afternoon!

    Muso x

Aw Jha sorry to hear about your probable swine flu horridness hope the relenza works and it all clears up soon I bet you're really fed up being laid low with it for so long x

Hope the coke and sandwich works Always fingers crossed! Hope you're not over doing the housework. Ooh also try tickling your belly button - I'm not joking it seems to make mine move for some reason.

Aw, the man from next door just knocked and asked if we needed any groceries because I'm on crutches bless him, such a nice offer.

I bet you go way before me Helen - my tummy pains just seem to be random weirdness with no particular pattern at the mo and no TMI to speak of. Although out of boredom I did say earlier to OH "I reckon this baby will come today" just to keep him on his toes! He looked suitably freaked out lol.

On the subject of tens machines, I asked about this a few months ago but probably would have been better going on the parent thread as I don't think many have used them so far on here. I bought the Lloyds labour tens and am hoping that I wasn't being cheap but thinking I was being :money: as I'm not sure how strong it is. It was £29.99 - we put the batteries in before to have it ready. I get really bad period cramps every month usually so was going to keep it to help with that. I will let you know if it's any good afterwards though. GISI (I hope I've remembered right and it is you) - hope you get yours soon that's a right pain with the postman not even knocking.
