morning everyone, congrats to fitzio
well found out i should be ok with SMP, i dont always pay national insurance contributions unless i've done a load of overtime but i do earn over the lower earnings threshold just phew! I should get 90% pay for the whole 39 weeks which works out about 10 pounds a week less than i earn. Work are not going to be happy when they find out, i think they may struggle to cover my shifts and i dont know how it'll work out with the training i'm doing, i'll have finished the current course but not sure it'll be worth starting the next one till after i'm back.
I need to sort through the airing cupboard i think it is still housing the moses basket bedding somewhere, really hope i haven't thrown it away. Luckily all the bedding and moses basket are yellow so have suited all our children fine. OH wont let me sort through the baby clothes in the loft yet grr men! The other thing we havent got is a car seat for newborn, we gave ds to mil for her car if she was collecting sil little one, i saw it last time we were down so she should still have it hopefully.0 -
Morning girls,
hope you're all doing fine
*hugs* to Fitzio - many congratulationsLovely baby name
Well, been kinda busy over the weekend so I think we're almost there! This little one isn't showing any signs of being in any rush to get here, so doubt she will make her appearance by tomorrow  Midwife appointment on wednesday if we do make it that far, where they will discuss a sweep: don't think we would get offered that until 41 weeks with induction booked then for 42 weeks. It's getting more uncomfortable to sleep as I can only really sleep on my left side so it gets soreAm usually fine enough when I get up, but definately more lower bump / pelvic pain by the end of the day!
I should really go and work out what I'm going to do today, but breakfast and some tea are definates to start with.0 -
Congratulations Fitz!:j
Well, we told DH's parents yesterday. His mum was predictably VERY excited! We've been receiving texts at regular intervals since suggesting baby names. starting to think we told them too early- think I'll go mad if this keeps up for the next 7 months!
Trying to resist searching for baby stuff on ebay- its far too early!

Morning all, well i think i have recovered from the sweetie incident yesterday but only just still have a yucky feeling but guess i deserve it for stealing the kids sweets.:p
Heading over to mums today to help out for a couple of hours to make her feel better as she is not coping with house work and my sis. OH seen her yesterday first time in a few weeks and he couldn't believe how she looked she has aged 10yrs atleast. Then i need to take the big dog to the vets he has skin problems and is leaving clumps of hair everywhere, hope they can do something for him he looks so uncomfortable.
Then i need to catch up on my own house work:( have been cutting corners all the time to make the place look nice but now i need to get out the mop and bleach and do it properly. OH is off fishing today so i will hopefully get piece to do it all.
I'm exhausted just typing about it lol ah the joys of pregnancy:rolleyes:[STRIKE]Little bump 3 on it's way[/STRIKE]:j

OK could someone help me out I am trying to figure out when i will be sectioned if they decide it is needed. I know it can differ in different hospitals but wanted a rough idea but i swear someone keeps changing the dates on my calendar, they keep moving lol
Think anythime after 38weeks (and before 39wks)? Unless a medical emergency would mean earlier, most ladies on here with elective sections have had a date after the 38wk mark.
Think its different at every PCT like all things!0 -
First day of holiday/ML today for me. Got up at 8:30 as I couldn't sleep any longer! Just waiting for OH to wake up now so we can go to Ikea.
Always- sorry to hear you came home to such chaos yesterday. That is scary stuff.
Yay on telling the in-laws Muso. It's so nice when you can share your news with other people- especially when they're as excited as you are.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Morning!
Congrats Fitz
Jam - Charlotte is beautiful - you look like such a happy little family
Gisi I don't envy you - the only good thing about Ikea imo is the hot dogsOh & the cheap things, I just hate walking round them!
Well done on winning the chair Somnium :j Seems a bargain for such good condition. I'd always bid in the higher figures - I can't remember exactly why (someone once explained it to me) - something to do with bids moving in whole £ figures after a certain price, so if you bid higher in the £ you're more likely to have outbid the 2nd highest bidder by over a £. Worst explanation ever?! :rotfl:
Really need to get myself in gear, hardly sleeping at the moment so allllllways tiredGot the midwife and 10.45 and need to pack up some parcels and get myself to the Post Office before then. Wish me luck

I think i will be very busy this xmas sorting everything out, thank god mum usually has xmas dinner at hers don't think i could face it here on top off everything else.
Weezle you asked the other day where i got the nappies, It was ebay they were on collection only and the women was in the middle of no where so i ended up being the only bidder and got them cheap. lol had a look on the web and they would have been a couple of hundred to by from a shop etc. and most of them are still in their packets.[STRIKE]Little bump 3 on it's way[/STRIKE]:j

Morning! Well, it's only been one night, but I'm ready to give the Dream Genii pillow my ringing endorsement. Granted, I have nothing to compare it to (other than using plain pillows), but seems worth the price if you want to sleep properly. The only times I woke up were to change position and there was no hip pain/stiffness in the morning!! I had been waking up very frequently because I was either sore or uncomfortable, so this helped loads. It really does make a huge difference the second you lie down. I think part of my issue is that I'm normally a tummy sleeper, so transitioning to sleeping on my side has been a struggle.
Anyway, hope that helps! In retrospect, I wish I had known in advance that sleeping was going to become such an issue, because I could've got the Dream Genii much cheaper on eBay, so hopefully this will help someone else behind on deciding whether to make the investment or not - sometimes it's not worth it to be a cheapskate!top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne
would like to win a holiday, please!!
