  • Hello ladies,

Jam - Charlottes beautiful! Really does look like you too, I love the very proud mummy photo once your home.

Ive spent the day pottering around the house not really achieving much but starting lots of little things. Just spent ages ironing all the baby stuff Ive washed this weekend too so my backs killing now even though I did it all sat on the sofa with the board really low :o The difference in 'newborn' sizes from shop to shops huge too! Some things go upto 7lb, some 8.5lb, some 9.9lb then others 11lb  Im just going to pack an assortment of sizes for my hospital bag I think. Are any other ladies that are due over winter packing a snow/pram suit too for coming home or just a blanket for over the carseat? Its all too confusing!!

Ive just realised I forgot to check ebay before and Ive missed a jumperoo for 99p literally 10 mins from me! I got my end times mixed up so didnt turn the pc back on as I knew Id end up on again for hours rather than doing the ironing  Oh well, something else will come up and I didnt need it but it was a steal!

Hope everyones well and we all sleep better tonight.

Boogelly - U iron baby grows? Your good I only iron what of mine really needs it, so baby grows have no chance, think its the memory of my mother spending sunday evenings ironing piles of clothes taking hours, and telling myself never ever so I hang stuff out carefully to reduce creases ha ha

As I was trapped on the bed with monitors, drips etc I just decided to have whatever pain relief was offered (rightly or wrongly -who cares) and not suffer. I think I was just lucky I had no side effects from anything and, in a strange way, had a nice time throughout the labour! The midwives were fantastic and make it a great experience and OH was joking all the way through.

Yes, I saw the pics of Jack, very cute. I can't believe how much time you seem to have to be on here. I hope we will settle down soon and will get chance to look in more often - sure to have questions at some point!

Thanks all for the congrats - she looks a bit like a gremlin in the first pics but her puffi-ness is calming down now lol

  • Nanc I hate ironing with a passion! I normally iron as and when I need something (normally at 6.15am when I have to leave for work at 6.25!) but I figured this was the only time Im going to do a mass batch of baby stuff, after the initial flurry of piccies everyone will no doubt take of her she can be as crumpled as me :D (I just dont want her looking like a rag bag in the hospital :rotfl:)

Oops hadn't refreshed, thanks aless for posting it first :D
  • I'm the same fattybooboo- washed my first load of baby stuff today and now it looks used! I will probably iron it all before putting it away as some of the stuff is 0-3 and 3-6 months so might not be used for quite a while, and I like stuff to be all nice and pressed while it's stored!

I've realised that I probably have at least one more load of baby clothes to wash then at least one more load of muslins, baby bedding and baby towels to do. Not sure where it's all come from!

  • Im the same Boo, I hate how some things go bobbly after one wash too! They havent even been worn but they've not got that lovely 'new' clothing look.

    Congrats Fitz!
