Great news for Fitz. Welcome baby Holly. Can't wait to see piccys.

I would have sworn that I had Fitz as a friend on facebook but apparently not. If anyone wants to add me then please feel free, most of the ones I've added are already over on the Parent thread but I have trouble putting real names to user names so get a bit confuddled.

Well, 2 days to go and still don't feel like she is about to arrive anytime soon. Going to see consultant on Tuesday so could well be offered a stretch and sweep. Not really sure I like the idea but really want ot meet my little girl now.

  • Evening all!

    Congrats to Fitz!

Had a lovely weekend up north with family celebrating my brothers las vegas elope - met my new sil and she is lovely :) so looking forward to getting to know her. My mum even had a couple of pats of her grandson, which is very unlike her!

Had a really awful terrible nights sleep last night - hotel bed and just couldn't get comfy, had really bad reflux and then woke up screaming about 4am with cramp for the first time ever in my life, practically gave DP a heart attack in the process! And at some point yesterday got piles - ow ow ow, how painful are they?! - so been uncomfy all day and after train, tube and bus trip back was looking forward to sitting with my feet up.

But oh no, got in and the 2 glass fronted, glass shelved kitchen wall cupboards with all the glasses and mugs and spirits in had fallen off the wall and kitchen was covered with broken glass and crockery. On the bright side, it does mean that we have a hell of a lot less to pack when we move. And even brighter, one of the falling cupboards knocked on one of the hobs on and it wasn't the hob that stupid here left paperwork on so a few dozen smashed things is much better than what could have happened....

Sat with my feet up now, will catch up better tomorrow

    HI csh. Sorry, cross posted.

Damn scary if you want the truth.

I hate pain, and since I have no real point of reference I'm probably worrying about it more than i need to. But really excited about meeting her.

    How you feeling?

I watched some births on telly the other morning and wished I hadn't!

Fed up now! I've went from mega excited at every twinge to thinking hes not going to come out on his own and i'll be induced in a fortnight.
Cos of eclampsia with DD, she was early and I never thought I'd get this far this time!
It really never occurred to me that I might go naturally and up until 2 days ago I hadn't even made plans for DD if I go in the night.

Well at least you have made your plans for DD now.

Just been on the phone to my mum whinging about how awful this cold is making me feel since I can't take anything and she has given me another list of suitable dates for baby to arrive to fit in with the rest of the family. Someone else has left me a facebook message to the same effect. What is it with people, do they think I'm deliberately keeping her in there to inconvenience them!!!

Really seeing the wisdom of telling people the 42weeks date now, if I go two weeks over I can imagine I'll be on daily phone calls asking where she is and what the hold up is.

    Hi Jenny,

I currently have 8 but Sami on PT said something about 30!!!! figured if I needed more I'd run to asda and get some.

If you sign up to the SMA club they send you one in their welcome pack.

Are they for nappies or just for burping etc if so you dont need to many if you don't mind always washing some with your normal washing. Say 15 and if you find you cant keep up buy more. i found i always had some ready when needed as they dry fast.

Oooh cant wait to here more about baby Holly from Fitzio, Congrats hun xx

Always - glad you had a good weekend, but shame about the rough ride home and the present waiting for you..eek!

32b - sorry to hear your sister relapsed again :(

Well won our nursing chair on ebayhttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330359842959&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT and have already been and collected it. Payed £51.34 and its worth every penny :D its even better IRL than the description and pic on ebay. Its been used for several children but you'd never know, there isn't a mark on the wood and the material is only a teeny tiny bit worn. It even has 4 position recline :D And the lady cleaned it so nicely it smell lovely hehe. Now if I can just get the OH out of it I'll be laughing!
