    Hey ladies,

    Congrats Hammy :)

Not been on for a couple of days so briefly trying to catch up. Had such a busy weekend - went out Friday night then spent Saturday with my family. Today we've been shopping, eaten sushi til it poured from my ears and just been for a long walk in the woods near our house. So tired!

Just wanted to say for anyone bidding on eBay - try a sniper :) There's a good free one on https://www.goofbay.com - gives you the option of what point to put your final bid in so like 5/10 seconds before it closes. Also, try and put in a bid on an odd number, like £71.68 rather than a whole number - ups the odds of winning because of the increments in which bidding moves. I've won lots of bargains this way :)

EA - good luck with the house move! I read the fact about baby being able to hear now - OH said I have to stop swearing now :D Can't believe your tummy is out in front of your boobs already!!!

32b hope your sister carries on as she is, sounds really positive.

On the formula milk front, I was planning to use it as I've a tumour that causes all sorts of problems so reckon I'll have to go back on medication quite quickly post baby. No idea what I'd use tho :s Nobody's buying it for us!! Though my mum picked up loads of Huggies newborn nappies a while ago as a local Sainsburys had them on offer at 97p from £4 odd, crazy bargain.

Harley that little suit is gorgeous :)

Sorry to all I've missed, trying to catch up but my eyes are streaming - I seem to have developed an allergy to my cats (great!!) and can barely see! Will love & leave you all til tomorrow when I hope to hear of lots of eBay bargains :D

    xxx

Nikkit - good you are able to get up and go down stairs, just do what you feel you can and you will get there in no time. Good OH is paying you more attention, shame his comp can't accidentaly pack up!

Gymfiend - Good bargains on the nappy front :D And would you recommend going over or under the 50p mark with the odd amounts for bidding on ebay?

hiya, did a huge post this morning before i went to work then forgot to hit submit reply before i closed it down grrr pregnancy brain lol.

Does anyone know much about SMP entitlement? I'm beginning to wonder if i earn enough to be entitled to it or not.

I'm am so determined to breastfeed this time round but will probably give topups to start off with. I've had both my previous children early by c-section and the milk has not come in for over a week, i also have to watch their blood sugar levels dont drop too much after birth, ds went low but came back up with top ups, dd lost so much weight whilst i attempted breastfeeding that the HV came every week for 3 months to check she was gaining weight. Because of the problems i'd had with dd i switched quickly to formula with ds when i knew there was no milk there but i should have continued offering the breast and just given him the odd top up as breastfeeding him was a breeze compared to dd which was soo painful. She had a very strong suck and made the oddest sound with her bottles lol
  • Hi everyone, sorry I went AWOL, me and DH went for a carvery, so all in all not a very mse weekend foodwise, but it was lovely and no washing up, yay!!

Merfe, thanks for raising the point about ur milk not coming in straight away, I have only bought a couple of ready made cartons of milk like Somnium was talking about, to have in the cupboard as a back up and am just debating whether we should get a bit more just incase.

Hammy - Big congratulations!! Ur due date must be quite close to mine as Im just 7 and half weeks to go :)

Somnium, I tend to bid 1p over the pound, say £10.01, so if someones max bid is £10.00 then I would win with £10.01, we have won quite a few bits this way :)

Nikkit - Glad ur OH is being bit more helpful today. What is it with grown men and computer games. My DH absolutely loves his Xbox, and is on Call of Duty loads!! Does my head in. Least now he has some headphones which the sound goes through and so I dont have to listen to bombs going off all night!!

    xx

Afternoon all its so sunny yeyyy..

Had a tour of the hospital yesterday it was lovely but v quiet, saw the rooms which are big with a bed to give birth in and bed to recover in.. also saw the birthing pool which made me more excited about having that. The midwife was lovely who showed us around and we were the only ones on the tour.. Loved looking around, security was really really good as well.

Last night I was in soo much pain when going to the loo just really really found it hard to walk and woke hubby up to say no way can i walk round ikea and shops tomorrow, i was nearly in tears.

Woke up today at 8am and promptly got in the bath to chill then felt a lot better, so we made way to southampton to get blinds and last bits for the place, now feel i have everything for the arrival got some material as well in ikea for mum to make us some bits, room has taken a very bright white, pink, green and orange theme.

I can now confidently say we have everything for bump and just need to pack, 4 weeks left at work as well yipppee x

    Hi all

Have had a quick catch up but can't see anything from ML? Or Fitz? Not had chance to do birth story yet - too busy with peeps coming over at the mo and milk coming in!

OH tells me this facebook link should work - Mum thinks some of the pics are a bit risque but I hope people are looking at Bubs and not me!

Charlotte is doing well so far - feeding well, sleeping ok and producing the other end with no problems!! I am a bit exhausted today but we'll see what tonight brings.

if I have missed any news, could someone do a quick update please?

Once I have done my BS, I'll go and be a lurker on the Parent thread. Good luck everyone! xxx

yes Fatty at Dorch great memory, its really nice unfortunately hubby couldnt make it (GOLF) so my sister came who is also going to be at the birth I feel she may deal with the situation better as hubby will hate to see me in pain and hates blood etc, bless and I need someone who can egg me on, ha ha. It was so quiet looking around saw some parents being shown how to bath their baby though. I just hope the pool is free, but I did get the fear whilst looking and left with tears in my eyes knowing that next time ill be there, I will be in pain and worried sick, I just dont know how I'll cope x Will you be the Dorchester or Weymouth side of the maternity unit?
