Kelinik, I'm sorry I have no previous experience, but homebirth.org has a really good section on big babies and how it can still be safe to labour at home
The main objection is usually fear of shoulder dystocia, but from what I know you have none of the risk factors. Happy to say more about that if you'd like me toxxx
Thanks chicken, since you posted the link the other day I've read that page several times.
Have completely swotted up on shoulder dystocia, why it occurs and how it is dealt with (knowledge is power right) and it seems that is little that can be done in hospital that can't be done at home, if it even occured anyway (was fine before). Always interested if something opposing this comes up though ta. x
Anyway I'm quite happy to send my free pack of 1st sized huggies voucher to one of you girls that are going with disposables - size one only goes up to 11lb so I'm going to by size 2 from the off!:heart2: Mumma to DD 13yrs, DD 11yrs & DS 3 yrs. :heart2:0 -

I was just trying to figure out if i was eligible to any help as i am not eligible for SMP or MA and came accross this http://www.dwp.gov.uk/publications/specialist-guides/technical-guidance/ni17a-a-guide-to-maternity/
Also NCT do a reduced yearly fee and course fee for those on a low income - which means i can do antenatal now with some of my hipg in addition to my 1 day class provided by nhs0 -

Oooh i hadn't really thought about this too much, but just to revert back to my earlier post when i said i bought a breast pump from the car boot £3.
So i wanted to pose a question to you all, be brutally honest....
Would you use a 2nd hand breast pump?
Have seen conflicting, yet strong opinions elsewhere on the web, so just curious
Yes. It will be sterillised so I don't see a problemI've got a 2nd hand Medela swing. xx

IMO kindof, you'd celebrate the meeting one, and then when you're married forget both previous dates and celebrate wedding only.0
