Hi Somnium, congrats on team pink :)

Sorry to hear about your work, you either get people who don't care and think you should be working just as hard as before (even harder as you have loads to hand over and people to train) or people who panic and think you can't do anything! I have both in my office. Luckily my boss is the worrying one so when anyone else gives me too much I just go to her and she gives it to someone else - she even sent an email round telling people not to give me any new agreements :)

Thanks ladies, am not a manager but a senior member of staff with a fair bit of responsability. It was the supervisers believe it or not who pulled me in, they havent seen my risk assessment so don't know what I am and am not allowed to do, apparently its confidential info and only my actual manager is allowed to see it..Duh! Couldn't believe they cant use there common sense tho and figure it out for them selves. I officially think our place has one of the most incompetent management teams ever, And I speak from experiance as I used to me a manager my self. I'm going to take in my copy of the risk assessment this am so they can see it. As well as my notes I picked up for physio altho I don't think they'll pay much attention to them.

Was awake alot of last night couldn't sleep as I kept thinking about working with those back stabbing cows! The daft thing is I have now been told to stick to my risk assessment and not lift anything bulky or heavy at all ( have been doing what I felt I could before) so will be doing even less now! My manager is away for the next two weeks too so I cant see this being resolved any time soon. To make everything even crappier, I had a small bleed this morning, so my stress levels are just great now...not.

    Morning :D

Som - congrats on team pink!! Bet the scan was wonderful :) & try not to worry too much about work people - I've found in life that some people can just never be happy and like to cause a fuss, generally over nothing. It'll blow over I'm sure, but for now don't do any more than you feel comfortable with, you & bubs are number 1 in the grand scheme of things :) The bl**dy cheek of them to pull you in though, my OH works for a fairly large company and has a couple of pregnant ladies working for him and he was telling me last night that they must be treat so carefully it's almost unbelievable so as to avoid any backlash, and rightly so :D

Kindof I'd keep celebrating the meeting anniversary :) OH and I got engaged on my birthday so that'd be a rip off in the present department if we switched!!!

EA sounds like you got some bargains :D £3 for pants!

Well, after all my whinging about seeing OH's parents last night, it wasn't so bad. We got a chinese takeaway & I was plied with attention and asked what I wanted them to buy in so things were there for me to eat/drink when I came round - they've never been this kind before, think it must be because I'm now carrying their precious grandchild!! Think they were surprised that I was causing no fuss about being pregnant, as quite honestly, I generally feel fine, as last year his sis was pregnant and was constantly whinging about it. I save my moaning for you ladies :D They were also shocked at lack of bump, might take a pic of it just to show you all how non-bumpy I am!!

    Morning all.

Som really pleased your scan went well and so sorry that work are being carp with you. Hope they understand once you show them the risk assessment - but I agree with everyone else, don't let them get you down and certainly don't do any more than you should / can. Maybe give the MW a call about your bleed too, just to be on the safe side and put your mind at rest :-)

Hope everyon else is ok today. I'm coming down with a cold :( Saw my sister yesterday who's had a cold / sore throat / cough for a week. Woke up this morning with a sore throat, head and a cough. Plus DH didn't get home til 2.30am - loudly - then was snoring as soon as he got into bed so had a really rubbish night's sleep. Really don't want to be at work today.

Gymfriend glad the in-laws were better than you expected! And yes, we want a bump pic!!

    Evening ladies
just popping on to see if theres any news from csh,Hope everyone is having a nice evening trying to work out if i should do ironing or lust have a lazy evening. I am 30 weeks today. It's going quite fast but also seems like it's been forever.

agh! i have just had my 30 week update from bounty with the subject line being ''your body is getting ready for labour'' no it's not i am not ready. We need at least another 9 months to get the nursery straight.
The people who had the house before us were useless at d.i.y and bodged everything. Everytime we redecorate we find more problems we have to deal with first.

Our sons room was a nightmare as it had like sand painted on the walls it was a fairytale scene nice enough but we had to sand the walls down so they were smooth and when we did we found a massive hole in the wall that they hadn't plastered properly.

congrats somn on team pink , have updated the last list 2 or 3 pages abck for you,

concerning your work , the self assesment they do , is not confidential , i had one as i work for coca cola , and go around lots of supermarkets and merchandise , and i told all my stores i was no longer to lift 60 cases of 24 500ml bottles , and some of my stores even put notes in there offices so all staff saw that due to my assesment i was no longer allowed to lift heavy things,
Just don't do it , and if it doesn't get done they will get told off and not you , as you know and the managers know you are not to lift heavy things ,
Dont forget that little Thanks button , only takes a sec

    Evening Ladies!

Haven't been feeling too great today as i have been suffering from really bad nausea as well as some stomach cramps (both by my hips and also above my belly button and around my breastbone). Am gonna call the doctor tommorow so i can get an appointment but i just need to make sure the snobby receptionist doesn't try to fobb me off. Also whilst i'm there i'll ask if there's anything i can do to relieve my headaches - don't want to take paracetamol as i'm unsure whether or not it's ssafe.

Anyway i'm gonna go to bed soon and just hope that i don't end up vomiting.

Can't wait until my midwife gets in touch so i can do my booking appointment.

I'm sorry you are feeling crappy :(
