Morning all. This whole annual leave time is a bit weird. After working full-time and having a routine 5 days a week I am feeling a bit strange. Plus I feel like I should be "nesting" but to be honest with you can't be bothered to clean at all!! I have to motivate myself to try and do stuff when I would be quite happy watching DVDs or reading books - is this just me? Anyone who'ss been here has the nesting instinct come in later?

I really have to do something though because I feel so guilty not doing anything all day and then DH comes home to a messy house and cooks dinner (he has said he still wants to cook in the evenings as he is used to it) so I feel extra guilty when all I want to do is relax and unwind for a few days. Plus the ILs are coming Friday so will feel well crap if the house isn't tidy.

So plan today is finish off kitchen. Tomorrow I will do the spare room and the lounge. Then see how I go from there - maybe just try and do most of the work in the morning then have afternoons to sit about... Well I'll see how it goes.

    Sorry for the ramble.

EA I was so cmfortable when I switched to maternity clothes it was wonderful having clothes that properly fitted.

Lou I am definitely there with you on the whole feeling like it is taking ages, but then seeming to go quickly. Can't believe I am 36+3.

Somnium - congrats on team pink :)

Kelinik - yay for your screening test result
Tegan Lily arrived 4 November 2009 (3 days late)

Floyd Peter arrived 9th July 2011 (1 day early) :D

Karen - enjoy your free time whilst you can. It will be gone before you know it and you won't have time to yourself! Do a bit of housework if you fancy, but take time to relax if that's what you fancy doing. I didn't do much housework when I was off, and I felt terribly guilty, but DH didn't want me to do much anyway as I was pregnant and should be taking it easy!
I spent my time batch cooking, watching TV, shopping and meeting friends for lunch. It was great! I only had a mad cleaning frenzy a couple of days before I was due, just because I was stressed at coming home to a messy house - not because any nesting instict kicked in!

    Congrats Som on team pink!!!

No news on Csh or Squishy then? I am off to the dentist for root treatment (at least it's free just now!), but will keep an eye on the goings on of the pregnancy thread later. x

YAY :) I wonder how they do it?? I mean 1 in 50,000 is insane lol I was 1 in 3797 or something like that and I thought mine was low risk but wow lol

Dunno, had to count the zeros several times to make sure lol, defo 50,000. When I had my girls they didn't take blood so it was based just on the nuchal measurements and your age, guess its more accurate now?
    :heart2: Mumma to DD 13yrs, DD 11yrs & DS 3 yrs. :heart2:

EA & Kindof, could you take team blue & leave me with the team pink quota? :D I'm so sure that it'll be a little boy, but would absolutely love a little girl as would OH, poor thing if he is a boy!

Just tried taking a bump pic but turns out it's pretty hard to take a pic of yourself from the side whilst holding the camera, don't know how to work the self timer - any tips?! Oooh I could use photobooth on the Mac, genius! Will go get it :D

Poor OH has now come down with man flu - he even suggested it might be swine flu his sniffle was so bad!! Seems my complaints of a pain in my kidney area are nothing in comparison :rotfl: He's just text me from work saying he feels horrendous - he's silly though I tell him to come home and he won't, he's tied to his bl&7dy job!

Right be back soon once I can get a non bump pic (bearing in mind I've just eaten the biggest bowl of chocolate cereal known to man, the bulge you may see will be food!!)
    Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j
