Has anyone had any experience of going to a and e for an emergency scan?
I experienced brown spotting at wk 5 and was told by both gp and midwife to go to a and e if i had any more, no matter how much. (midwife said even if i needed a microscope to see it!!)
Had a bit more today (Still brown), am 8 weeks now, so am planning on going to a and e first thing. (been onto hospital and they advised me to wait until then as they dont always have someone to operate scan out of hours.)
I think its different depending on the a&e - i went once after speaking to nhs direct and they didnt scan me just booked a appointment for the next day..... but it was a sunday
With this pg i went to the drs and they got me appointment later that day... If the drs said to go then hopefully you will get a scan...
Try not to worry - brown blood is better.... I have had bleeding this pg and last with dd3 (red) and she is fine and perfect
I am SOooooooooo poorly today - havent kept anything down... Even my drinks are coming back upi have been trying to sip often so hopefully some is staying in so i dont get dehydrated... I need to do the bottles for dd3 but just no as soon as i move ill be back upstairs
Oh well its all worth it in the end
I also have a rash on my belly... all under my belly button like where my little bump is (ok baby fat from dd3) Not to sure what it is so ill keep a eye on it - but im sure its fine...
Hope eveyone is ok sorry havent really read all the thread (feel to rotten and what i have read i have forgoten) so i hope your all doing well and congrats to any new babies

Thanks for the support everyone. The midwife on the phone said it might be worth calling the EPU and she has given me a number for them, but she said they dont open until 9am. She didn't know whether they would let me bypass A & E though.
I think I might go to A & E a bit earlier than that and then either phone them while I'm there or get DH to go and see if they would see me. It's hard to know what to do for the best!!
I'm hoping the fact that I'm rhesus negative will also aid me in getting a scan.Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -
Morning all, I'm still hanging on in here lol
Just a quick note to say hope everything goes well for you today Gill.
Will pop back later, Labour vibes to the over ladies x x0 -
Gill - I went to my EPU on Saturday because I'd been bleeding for the past few days. Sod's law after I booked appointment the bleeding stopped but they still gave me an internal scan which wasn't anywhere near as bad as I was building it up to be in my mind. Everything was fine and we even got a picture of the tiny blob with a heartbeat, so hopefully it will reassure you too.

Morning all,
still plodding away hereLooks rainy outside today though, so hoping it dries up enough for me to go for a little walk (waddle!) about later to try and get this baby to drop down
Not a lot planned for today - need to do some washing and a bit of cleaning, and am hoping a parcel gets here early this morning as I will probably then go back to bed for a few hours
Take care all, and labour vibes to the usual suspects0 -

Morning.
I'm still here too. Starting to get pains but I don't think it's contractions. Think she is just moving around but now she is bigger and stronger it is hurting rather than just kicking.
Going to have a quiet day again. Dishwasher is on, going to try to do some more stitching and for some reason I have lost my Tweezerman tweezers. I can find every other pair I have except the bright pink pair that really ought to stand out a mile. So I might spend some more time looking for them.
Firstly though I am waiting for Martin Lewis to come onto GMTV. He's talking about early Christmas shopping.
Massive eviction/labour vibes to Squishy, CSH and me please ladies.

Morning all, i am so tired
For the past week i've been wwaking up at 3am and 6am for the toilet, the 3am trip isn't so bad as i still have another 4 hours sleep left. But at 6am i wake up, look at the time and feel sad that i have to wake up in an hour :rotfl:
All last night i was having a series of mini dreams about going for my 20 week scan and everything going weird. In most of them i didn't have any pound coins for photo's and i was really upset.
One i remember - "I had 2 pound coins on me, and i needed more so we could get a few pics, so we went to the cash machine and got out £10 and i needed to go to the shop to get change. But OH wanted to go to McDonalds and i was moaning that we only had 4 minsutes to get to scan, and then he ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger, (which has to cook lol)
When i asked for change in £1 coins the guy said "i only have 1 pound coin" and gave me the rest in 10p's" lol.
Im 17+1 now, i cant belive it  Its going very quick lol.EA- Is it not too cold for a BBQ????? (It is here)
It was really hot here over the weekend, i sat in the shade most of the time thoughI cant handle heat
We didn't do a BBQ in the end, we got KFC0 -

Now if i could only decide on what to buy for everyone i might actually get somewhere.
Labor vibes to the three in need, i think you's just don't want to leave the PG thread:rotfl:

Good morning ladies
Is there room in here for a newbie? I'm 7 weeks pregnant with my first following a miscarriage at the start of August. I'm also sick as a blooming parrot - apparently nobody taught my morning sickness how to tell the time cos it's all day sickness. I've lost half a stone since thursday. Does anyone have any experience of this and tips for coping? I already have another appt with the docs for later today.0
