Yes gill I did at 11.5 wks but they didn't send me for a scan at A&E they didn't do that much actually only heart trace, bloods, feeling my stomach but they told me to go to the drop in EPU in the morning to get a scan. They can't even reassure you by listening to the heartbeat at that stage either so had a night of going out my mind before I got the scan showing everything was ok. Unfortunately there have been other girls on here who have had to wait a lot longer to find out. I think it really depends on your local health authority on how straight forward and helpful they are.
OOh another warning, if you go to A&E you tend to come into contact with lots of different health professionals some are sympathetic that you are going crazy with worry and others are cold and seem almost irritated by you! I had two doctors talking to me like I had imagined that I was pregnant at all and one tried to suggest I hadn't had a period because I was having an early menopause! I hope you don't get any of them!
Good luck and I know it's impossible not to worry but try to remember that it doesn't always mean something is wrong. There have been loads of girls on here with the same and things have been ok. Mine settled down after a few days and no reason was ever found for it. Hth x
That reminds me of my old GP when i was pregnant with DD1, i had no idea that i was pregnant (was still having periods until i was 14 weeks) but i kept being sick constantly went to the doctors coz obviously something wasnt right he told me it was all in my head and i must be imagining it then tried to refer me to a psychiatrist :mad:0 -

Just been sorting out all my pregnancy gumph (dont think thats a word, I mean paperwork and leaflets) and clearing out the stuff I dont need, I must have a small trees worth!! It did remind me though that I still havent received the payout from BUPA through my job so I will chase that up tomorrow.Baby Toby born 17th Nov 09 :j0 -

I'm poorly
Feeling full of cold and sooooo tired and run down. My chest feeling inflamed aswell.
Want cake but only have the ingredients. Shouldn't make some though cos promised DS we could tomorrow night.... But i don't normally make them from scratch i usually cheat and use them boxes of mix. So it could be a practice run
Gah i don't know if i can be bothered.

oh dear oh dear, I need to break it to OH that i have just blown our spare money on ebay. Ok so i need to explain it was all good and we no longer need any clothes for the little one until he is out of 3 mth clothes.
Now i just need to stay away from 3/6 mths and i'll be OK ............. ahhhhh
32b - at least they're things you'll need - feel better that you haven't done something so stupid as what I have just done! Went to a car boot sale this morning and took DD aged 7. She loved it and got a few cheap teds and 10p videos and I bought a brand new all in one fluffy outfit complete with cute ears etc. for bump for £1........all very:money:
Then.....
Later on DD said that she wished she had pyjamas/a sleepsuit type thing like that for winter too with ears and hood etc. I thought I'd remembered seeing an ad for a company that does those cute bear pyjamas for bigger kids and I remember having some when I was about 12 so I had a browse on the internet. Really not that many of them around though as far as I could see but we did find a company that makes gorgeous ones at what looks like £27ish. Thought this was v. expensive but would make an exception as DD is going to be thrown into upheaval a bit with impending arrival so thought I would make an exception. Anyway we picked some and then went through all the questions like what colour and do you want added feet etc. I said no to all the extras then we got to the checkout and the total came to over £41  Just for one sleepsuit:eek: :eek:
It is lovely and DD kept saying "we're still going to get it aren't we?" I'm usually quite harsh and say no to everything and she isn't terrible for saying "I want, I want" I kept thinking it'll be her way of holding on to some of her inner baby IYSWIM. But the MSE in me can't stop choking back it's sobs since I pressed confirm order!!!0 -
Sorry your feeling poorley beenie. Can you make cakes tonight and tomorrow using 1/2 ingredients tonight. I am sure there is a cake in a mug recipie somewhere on here SM on the parent thread has done it i think?
Gill - i had an EPU scan - how they offer them and the circumstances varies so much that it is difficult to explain what they are like iyswim but i am hopeful you will get one soon. Please be wary though as i dont want you to be upset - to you it is a very stressful and upsetting event but the docs etc sometimes can be a bit insensitive / unthaughtful in what they say.
Lil miss - taija is gorgeous:D0 -
