My lappy's about to go bang - I keep getting a fatal error message. I REALLY need to fill in the disabled student's allowance so I can get another one - most OU students get a grant automatically, but because I'm disabled it has to come out of a different pot. My next course is all cd rom too, not books, eek.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.
  • I squeezed every ounce of life out of my PC. I put up with the blue screen of death for ages. I updated it loads, patches etc it seems though it was the PSU which was on its last legs. Still, with the abuse it had with visiting hundreds (if not thousands) of websites over 3 years with AQA and all the popups and rubbish which some sites spew, it did well as it was a bottom of the range machine.

How many nights is he having a drink?
    Weekends?
    He works night shift?

Yes he works nights. I'm at school during the day, but as far as i know, he doesnt drink in the week. He's had a few cans of cider this afternoon, and he's now sleeping it off in the conservatory. As I said, he's a bit of a lightweight and doesnt need much to get loud.

He'll probably have a few tomorrow as well, unless I can think of somewhere we can go. Thinking about it, he's possibly drinking because we dont go out, or do anything. Maybe that's the answer - find summink to do, and dont give him the opportunity to sit here drinking

I just dont know how to say it hun. He's a lovely fella, just not when he's had a drink :o

Next time he suggests a drink just calmly say you'd rather he didn't as you prefer his company when he's sober because although he may not realise it, he seems to get nasty (or whatever) when he's had a couple. If he's reasonable when he is sober he should listen. From what I've picked up over the past year or so you have a lovely relationshio with him in the main and this is a blip.

  • I also think it's a blip. Talk to him spud, you have a lovely relationship. Finding stuff to go together which will break the routine and the rut which he may be finding himself in would be an excellent idea.
