If there is more than one adult in the household you could go back once the cancellation is complete under the other person (doesn't seem to matter if the surname is the same)I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Afraid not, they keep the account open, when you re-connect they just re-activate it.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

Its in DHs name.
Could I become a new customer in my name?0 -
They will almost certainly ring you back, they will not want to lose a good customer.
However they will also know that you cannot get Virgin from your Post Code.;)
I'm moving to Virgin on Saturday.
Cancelled Sky, not a single attempt to get me to stay. Received a bog standard letter saying they're sorry to see me go and hope I one day return, but absolutely zero offers.Martin Lewis is always giving us advice on how to force companies to do things.
How about giving us advice on how to remove ourselves from any part of MoneySupermarket.com
I hereby withdraw any permission Martin might have implied he gave MoneySupermarket.com to use any of my data. Further more, I do not wish ANY data about me, or any of my posts etc to be held on any computer system held by MoneySupermarket.com or any business it has any commercial interests in.0 -
We upgraded to HD last week and all we were charged was £49 for the box and we have to take out the HD package for £9.75 a month for a year. That will bring the total to about £150 and the box is ours.
Just checked and this offer is also on their website. so you can do it through there and there's also a trick where you get £50 tesco vouchers aswell. I suggest you look at their website.0 -

Sorry this only works for new customers. You will be classed as a new customer after 12 months away from sky. You could set up a new account in another name as long as that person has a different surname. But tbh your better off not cancelling (they wont ring you to ask you to come back) and just buy a 2nd hand box from ebay, Its unfortunate that the sales perosn was srong originally but thats human error for you, they probably didnt see that you already had HD. Its £49 for 1st HD box and £149 for any boxes after.0 -
I have two feeds from it to the living room, two to my bedroom & one to my daughters bedroom, so thats 5.
So I'm guessing its a fairly big (multisocketed) LNB up there.
I know they did come in 4 feeds, but mine must be bigger, whats the next size up?
You have an Omni LNB so you have 3 spare.0 -

The threat to cancel is working less and less nowadays for two main reasons, firstly Sky have got wise to people using this to get deals and secondly subscriber numbers have reached target levels and numbers of new subscribers (thanks to DSO) are far outweighing the number of people threatening to cancel.0 -
