April 2010 brides (and grooms) - do we have a thread?!

Congrats to all April 2010 brides!

Am I mad - we've just set our date for 1st week in April and I have 13 wks to organsise everything!

We've been engaged for yonks so I've been gathering bits as we go. So far we've got:-

Registrar, Venue for ceremony, Venue for W breakfast and reception inc food, Disco, Bridal suite all confirmed in last 10 days.
My dress
Flower girls dresses (x3)
Wedding rings
We've made invites from scratch using ebay bargains and now just need to write in the date and finish the eve invites - want them out by mid jan as the wedding is a weekday and people will need to get time off work
Cake knife
Guest book
Chair covers
Photographer
Family doing flowers

So still need:-
Cake (M&S probably)
Mens suits, shoes
Bridesmaid dresses, shoes
Hairdresser
Make up artist
My vale, shoes, underwear
Flower girl shoes
Page boy suit and shoes
Hotel rooms for guests


I feel completely disorganised and I go back to work in a few days so will have no time to do anything! Have I forgotten anything?! I've had a good look at the thread and have picked up great tips so thank u girlies.

I know I haven't mentioned the exact date but that is only because I want to remain anonymous on this forum - also could run the risk of the (loony) ex wife of my OH turning up at the crucial moment or going around behind me cancelling everything! lol

I know that sounds insane but it is a very real possibility!

Hi all, lots to do still, but getting organised now Christmas is over. We got his shoes -M&S :money:-and decided on his suit, paid deposits for those. We collected the certificate and took to other registry office. I need to collect my dress. We will pay deposit for wedding venue on Saturday - weather permitting. Looking at hairdressers and other stuff for me at the moment. Best get to bed soon. Good luck to all. :beer:

We're getting on with things again now! We're finishing the invites this weekend, want to send them out by the 23rd Jan, we're going for lunch at the venue on the 17th with some friends so that the friend who's singing can check it out and our two best women can have a look at the venue, plus we want to measure the tables (to make the tabe runners!). We're hoping that the events organiser and the photographer will be able to meet us the same day but we're waiting for them to get back to us. Rings have been ordered, and are being made as we speak, should be ready Feb. Next priority is to visit the cheese shop and taste which we want for our cheese cake!

Hi peeps looks like we just managed to get into the thread with our date, time has gone so quick we tried to be organised and booked venue last january but my god hasnt time flew cant believe how quick its rolled round lots and lots to sort out over the next few weeks but im sure it will be worth it well thats what the future wife tells me lol :beer:

Our invites went out on Monday, although prob should have waited until after the snow. Just one has arrived so far, as far as I know. Nevertheless, it's still very exciting, feels like it's really happening now!

Hi ladies (and gents) under 12 weeks now for us. I can't decide if I'm panicing or not yet! lol

Invites done and ready to deliver (just got to wait for an oppertunity to get out and deliver them) Met with the vicor over the weekend and decided hymns, music, readings ect. He made us feel really at ease and I'm so glad he's marrying us, lovely man : ) Not heard anything about my dress since Nov when i dropped it off for alterations so a little worried bout that now! But all in all things are movign along smoothly. Its so nice to read how others are getting on, one thing I don't think any of us have talked about yet is the weather!

so what do you think ladies.......I'm hoping it'll be bright, don't mind a wet floor or rain so long as get an oppertunity for photos outside. I might be prepared and buy some brollys though : )

Cleomolly - it willl be warm and sunny - or failing that dry at least for the photos !!! Be positive !!

Invitations have gone out, starting to get replies back! Wooo, exciting!

Need to book a florist, DJ and makeup/hair trial. Fiance needs to get measured up for his suit. Need to order wine and start paying for stuff. Bah...

3 months 5 days! Eek!

Cleomolly - I've convinced myself that it's going to rain! Then anything else will be a bonus! Would like sun or snow (only a sprinkling, not like we have now!) so we can get some nice pics!
