The room we had booked, the menu, we can only have 1 bar instead of 2
    :(

Can they do that? I would have thought once they had agreed to things they can't change it this close to the date??

A friend of mine was told by her venue (a week before the wedding) that the price quoted was wrong and asked for a futher £5K and room prices went up by £50  He clearly thought that she would just pay up. Instead she found a cancellation in the next town, got it cheaper than the orginal venue and promptly cancelled the orgainal venue! He lost out to the tune of £20K and only got her deposit of £500, teach him to be greedy :D
:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:

I hope they can't because everything was perfect, I choose the room because it goes with our colour theme. It's a bloody good job I phoned else I'd still be non the wiser, apparently she left months ago!

I don't like the sounds of the new one, he sounds like I want to shake him, I felt like sticking my fingers in his eyes just on the phone and I've not met him yet :(

I want everything to be perfect.

    Bloodyhell Chel that's awful!!

Ring them up and say you want a meeting ASAP!

Tell them that you want what you have PAID for and I'm assuming that you have a contract too, so mention that.

Tell them that you won't stand for anything less than what was agreed when you booked, and that if they have trouble accomodating all that, it's tough and it's their problem to sort.

And remind them it's 8 weeks on Saturday to the wedding, so all these changes are not on.

I'd be livid too, I just hope it all works out ok.

Keeping everything crossed for you xxx

 you nearly gave me a heart attack, it's 9 weeks till mine (I thought I'd lost a week of my life then :rotfl: )

Oh we're having a meeting all right!! Up to now we have only paid £300 deposit so no major loss but it will be a pain in the !!!!! to change venue at such short notice. AND I WILL get my way and have the wedding I had planned :D

Oh chel what a nightmare!!! Yes kicking his butt sounds like a good idea.

I keep thanking god that everything seems to be going well and to plan so far............except getting into shape...........why do i have no motivation?

I have some weights in the house, so trying to sort my bingo wings out.

We're also in the middle of having our kitchen re-done with flooring, tiling and knocking through a wall to make a utility....why did we think this was a good idea 10 / 9 weeks before the wedding???? Hee hee :rotfl:

I also finding that there is some friction between my bridesmaids...which I'm trying not to let affect me. However, I need to tell both of them that the other one is my chief bridesmaid. It makes complete sense as the others will have their baby/children there; and one of the BM's is going to be my sister-in-law. I just hope it's not going to cause more probs!!

    xx
