I spoke with the reverend and she isn't happy, apparently there should have been 3 readings of banns today including our own.

That saying springs to mind, 'If you want something doing...do it yourself!'

I need to sort Wedding Insurance before I pay full balances on anything. Who has everyone gone with???

I made my cakes on Thursday! All that effort! Just need to keep dosing them with brandy now! Love the fact that I have done them but now worrying that it is not going to be enough! Have made a 10in and and 8in square cake!

Unbearably excited now! In 12 weeks I will no longer be missknixon! I will be a Mrs! That is quite frightening!

how many guests? i am sure it will be fine. i think we overestimate cakes/size requirements all the time.

well, my ring is paid for and sitting in our fire proof safe. h2b has also put deposit down on his. we went to hatton garden in the end and they are making our ring for £800 and will give us the insurance valuation with it cos it is valued at £1250! bargain. :D

Have also paid off the bus and will pay the dress of this week. might finally motivate me into doing something about my size. (luckily, my measurements are still same despite having put on a fair bit of weight.) made 10 button holes.. 20 to go. need to make another 25 invites.

Second banns were read today. It was lovely actually. last week we had a visiting clergy who read our banns. He offered a little prayer at the end about supporting these couples as they prefare for this stage of lifes journey etc. I know from other services i have attended that many will do this and our parish vicar did also but our own vicar doesn't usually. in fact, he will read the banns, await any objections and close the book and continue with the service. today, he read all the banns and ours were last. as he got to them, he added 'and it gives me the greatest of pleasure to publish the banns of marriage between... ' It was ever so sweet and once again, i was sitting the with a cheesy grin on my face filling up with emotion in awe of all the blessings we are receiving. :) x

    Hi everyone,

I'm in need of some inspiration on gift ideas for my bridesmaids and page boy.

My MOH is 30+ and "very trendy" then i have 3 BMs 14,9 and 7 and a page boy of 5.

OMG it's only 9 weeks till my wedding

    Hi,

I got my wedding gifts from Aimee's Boutique

I got some jewellery boxes for my Bridesmaids and we got engraved tankards for Best Man and my Dad.

They had loads of stuff on their shop.

    Hope this helps

Got my hairdresser sorted before! :j

I've got my trial on the 2nd September (she's going away for a fortnight so only time she could fit me in), so now I just need to work out whether to have my hair up or down!

I'd love it up because it makes my face look slimmer, but if I have it down, it will hide some of my bingo wings lol :o

Come on girls, help me decide! Would it help if I posted a couple of pics of my dress and my hair??

Just waiting to hear from the make up girl and then that will be something else crossed off the list!

My lovely Dad gave us some money yesterday, so now we have enough to pay everything off and even put some away towards our honeymoon! :T

make another small one to go on top or if you are REALLY worried, a large one for the bottom. i would have thought that would be fone but i know what gluttonous h2b's can be like too... :P

serioulsy though, most people will be full from dinner unless you plan to send cake home?!
