You're lucky hunny, we still have loads of people yet to RSVP and we've got a meeting with the venue in the next fortnight so they better get their skates on!

i know i am very lucky as some people just dont rsvp. I put details on the evening invites for rsvps but was not bothered about people rsvp'ing for that as makes no difference to the cost and loads have replied!
My venue has another new wedding planner, thats my 5th i think since i booked! hopefully i will have this one till the end as she is fab :)
i have a load of friends staying at my house the weekend of the wedding and am trying to get it sorted for them coming, we moved in last April and i have only just finished unpacking  doing a big car boot next weekend which if does well will be putting wine on the tables:rotfl: should do ok, its been arranged by real radio and they have 1000 cars selling and a further 2000 parking spaces.!!

gosh... its flying isn't it? not enough time in the day!

made all the invites and cos of so many people dropping out that we had expected to come, we have run out and may need more. **sigh**

only waiting on six more responses and three of those have already verbally confirmed. :)

the ones i am waiting on are only couples so not a major factor any more.

evening is a nightmare though. i am now resorting to inviting a load of the families from the kids school cos all our friends with their large families can't afford a weekend away (most are in south west or north west of england) i am so gutted cos i know they would love to be there but so many are out of work and we can't afford to accomodate everyone. :(

the ones that are local and said no is cos they are all due to drop their babies a week each side of the wedding.

never mind. i hve stressed out too much over what ther peole may or may not do so i am just gonna let it go now. either that or go mad. haha

Well I now have an idea of getting a horse and carriage to pick me up from venue and take us for a trip to arrive back at venue! Sounds crazy but it's something i wanted but couldn't afford so we scrapped the idea and I was staying at venue but now we can afford it and really want to do it!

Not very Mse I know but I am only getting married once!

im having a bad day :( i dont feel very well, and its my day off and i should be doing stuff. I have an assignment to finish and lots of wedding prep to do. Assignment is going nowhere as cant concentrate and i have tried to make a few wedding related phonecalls, and all have either been unavailable or basicly useless - all umms and errs! The wedding venue being the worst - i want to cry because i have visions of turning up and everything being wrong because its like they couldnt givee two hoots! nobody ever replies to my emails, and when i phone i never get to speak to the same person.

only thing keeping me going is that on friday i pick up my altered wedding dress, (yay!) and have all of next week off. Loads to do but H2B is off too so we have a couple of days allocated to wedding making and planning and a couple of trips out planned - all with tesco vouchers of course! Also photographer meeting us at venue to check it out, and take a couple of pics.

I did do something im really happy with this weekend just gone though, and will pass it on incase its an idea for other brides. My nieces (bridesmaids) shoes are not exactly ideal for little girls who want to run around and dance, especially as the 8 year olds dont fit properly! (we bought them a while ago, a size bigger and she hasnt damn well grown!!) So having had the experience of said child wandering around her mums wedding bare foot and having the toilet door opened onto her toes (taking off her toenail!) i decided i wanted to get them something they can wear in the evening that will still look good with their dresses, but that they can have fun in. So, wanting to be mse of course, i bought cheap canvas lace up pumps £2 a pair at mini barratts, and have dyed them purple - they look fab! I plan on using some printable transfers to add the word bridesmaid to them and a couple of iron on diamantes (both of which i am ordering anyway as we are making our own t-shirts for hen night.)

Sound really good Bubble - the shoes! Sorry to hear that the other bits are not going to plan!

I have done my favour bags today - well my friends little girls did! Took them all of 5 minutes where as it would have taken me ages! I would have had to try to get things to stand up but being 7 and 9 they tried, it failed so they just put them in! Look ace though!

We going for a carvery at our venue on Sun (it's the OH's bday) the parents are meeting for only the 2nd time plus my MiL finds out her step daughter is my MoH! Not good! Dreading it now so much!

great idea about the shoes bubble! sorry to hear about all the crap. i can almost relate but not with assignments so much as work - either way, i hope you get on top of it all soon. i still need bm shoes. awaiting bm dress from china which is nearly finished. looks really nice. i hope it fits!

missknixon, i have also been sorting favour bags. i ordered the last bits i needed along with my hen night stuff so its all systems go i think. get to try on my dress 3rd september, need to speak t the vicar about the service and then pay as much off the venue as possible

i think that is all that is left. i have grooms shoes.. i have best man outfit and shoes, i have all the bits for my centre pieces, pew ends, favours... gosh. i may just have time to twiddle my thumbs next week! :o

Hi ladies, hope everyone is OK!

Well, me and daughter had a go at making a bouquet and it's turned out gorgeous, but it's only a small one for her and it weighs a load, so I can't even imagine how heavy one would be for me!

I've decided now that I'm gonna go down the artificial route and have been to a crafty warehouse this afternoon, to get some diamante wired head (not pins), some irredescent wired pearls and some hot pink wired beads so I can pick up the colour of my daughters bridesmaid dress and also my hot pink shoes, so I've got my eye on some flowers on eBay, which I can tart up with those things.

I've got my wedding knickers, they're hot pink too! :D

Sooo, going to order my flowers (and 25 more buttonholes as my Dad said everyone at the ceremony should have one and not just the wedding party ~ OK Dad!!) on Monday, then OH is taking my eldest son for his suit and shirt next week.

Then all I need is to order his hot pink tie from Next and we'll all have our clothing sorted!

Had a phone call from the dressmaker to say my dress is ready, so I'll be going to see that over the weekend.

Once those bits are done, that will be everything, apart from getting some fresh flowers for the table the day before the wedding!

I need to book myself into a hairdressers though to get my hair cut and highlighted ~ I'm going grey with a vengence!!:eek::eek:
