went for dress fitting friday, all still fits (thank god) has been taken up and hooks attached for train. it is just the netting overlay is too long if walking on carpet, so shes going to take it up a bit more as most of reception venue is carpet. was very exciting though. Have a week off work with OH now, got a couple of assignments to do so will be getting up super early before him to try and get some done, then we have a couple of days set aside for wedding planning, and can relax and enjoy a few days out!getting married: 02/10/10

We've just had a week like this (but thankfully without assignments!). It was nice as I feel OH got some input and that we had a couple of days to not think about it as well!
Have a nice week. How long til pay day?

Then only end of course assignment to go - though this is probably 30hours worth of work, and have to finish it before wedding, but then im done for the rest of the year which will make the honeymoon seem even sweeter!getting married: 02/10/10

Sometimes you have to wonder why we bother.
Just been for our family meal with both sets of parents. My OH's mum made a scene when she asked for something off the normal menu when we had booked for a carvery! She then sat and pushed a poached chicken breast around her plate - she doesn't like carvery (that's what we having for our wedding breakfast!). She completely ignored my parents and was downright rude and miserable. She wasn't interested in anything anyone had to say and to be honest everyone commented on why she even bothered coming!Miserable woman. Otherwise it was spectacular - brilliant food and mostly good company!

i have written so many replies out to various posts but been on my iphone all weekend and now i am home, i have a sick child so just gonna give everyone a quick wave and say sorry for those of you still having issues with in laws and yay to those who are making prgress.
mil2b gave us the cushion she has made. it is beautiful.will post a pic when i get a chance. i also realised that the next time i see any of them will be as i am walking down the aisle and they will all see me first.. it makes my stomach flip every time i think about it. is it really less than six weeks? i am an emotional wreck atm but luckily, its cd3 today so hoping af will show once more in about four weeks time.. would be timed just perfect then

All calm on the wedding front. Have just paid off £1000 for the venue - they have helped save us money which is great! Just £600 left to pay the morning after!
Have decided that the monster in law can go and say what she wants. My nana reminded me that it is my day and I should spend it how I want. Was even talking to my cousin last night who doesn't know the meaning of money saving and she said how excited she was! Her little girls are too (4 and 2) they got new pretty dresses! I am focusing now on making it the most wonderful day we could imagine! We are paying and we will be the ones remembering it in years to come!0 -
it is so reassuring to see that doesnt seem to matter how big or small your weddeing is, or whether its how you want it or not - most of us seem to have gone through stress and anxiety over it at some point. I often think why didnt we just go do it on our own, but i think for me i would just be stressed afterwards when everyone was dissapointed they werent involved!
have now got ribbon for favour boxes (didnt have enough and it was from confetti!) found pretty identical in fabric land. Finished preparing childrens colouring packs yesterday. Asked a friend if shed do a reading this weekend too, so thats a few more things ticked off!getting married: 02/10/10

Ooh I'm so happy! My son wanted a pale pink shirt and a hot pink tie (to match DD's dress, my shoes and bouquet), so OH decided to order them for himself too.
They came on Saturday and OH tried his on ~ my Dad who swore I would never get him to wear anything pink, loved them, so we ordered him both too, then my Uncle who is one of our witnesses loved it, so we ordered them for him, and we ordered them for my stepdad too! Ordered a tie for OH's Dad and for OH's brother also, but they can source their own shirts as we can't afford to spend out anymore!
They all arrived this morning, I love them!

aah, i can relax a bit now, today was a very successful organising day, having H2B here was surprisingly useful! I have made wedding postbox, finished sorting favours, made half the pew ends, finished kids colouring packs. Together we finally decided on our vows, made final decisions on food and drink choices, decided on table names - and other half found purple playing cards (i need for table names) which i scoured the net looking for (took him 5 mins!). He has also prepared and packaged 40 writable cds with labels to put on tables, that guests will hopefully take, put their photos on to and return to us. And he has prepared the order of the day, just waiting for a few details then can finish those too. But best of all, thisevening we met with someone from the art gallery where we are getting married who explained everything perfectly, and then we met our photographer, and she took lots of photos, cant wait to see them.getting married: 02/10/10
