October 2010 brides (and grooms!)

I have come away (visiting my mum and dad) for a few days. My house seemed to be falling apart - a spring fell out of my 3 month old sofa, the DVD player went caput, the internet keeps not working. Don't think I could take much more.

On the wedding front not doing too badly really. Have got to try and sort out what I want to do with my flowers - keep changing my mind about what I want but I know I want to do them and I know I want simple. Thinking a dozen hand tied roses at the moment - white or cream to offset my red dress - to break it up! Had my hair cut yesterday because I couldn't cope with it the length it was - was going to grow it out a bit first - I do have 9 weeks!!! My mums first words were - I thought you would have let it grow a bit! I don't suit it too long and I work in school and don't want creepies before my wedding!

My rentabestman.com bestman is having a disaster - his mum fell last week and broke her knee, she is having it replaced today - he may not be staying for the evening which has kicked the MiL off ranting - oh I now know why she doesn't want the best man we have she thinks his dad should do it! We aren't bothered though, he has been a good friend for as long as we have been together and we have been through a lot together.His mum is desperate to come - given her more determination than she already has!

I don't post on here often, but I'm glad I'm not the only one who hasn't sorted flowers yet. That, my jewellery and not having matching shoes for the bridesmaids are causing the most headaches at the moment. Also need to sort music, but I have someone who I can go to if that starts causing issues.

Thankfully OH's best man (actually his sister) is already doing a stirling job of keeping him organised, although I wish I had more help from the bridesmaids (although to be fair they have their own issues at the moment). MIL is lovely, my mum is only driving me slightly crazy and my dad has been persuaded into a suit, so not as bad as I feared when I first got engaged. I do sort of wish it was the day before though and we were at the stage of well if we haven't got it sorted we'll have to do without then.

been to my dads tonight and booked honeymoon! 1 week fully inclusive to Egypt, going to Sharm el sheik (sp?)

Booked Horse and carriage yesterday too so its all exciting now

i still have to make about 15 buttonholes. i got to pay as much as poss as soon as poss. i have about 2k and need to pay 7k. :eek:

picking up h2bs ring tomorrow. dress fitting on 3rd. cbm dress has arrived and is lush. just hope it fits now!

i would normally be feeling a bit more excited about now but work and other stuff have been a bit sh** so i am feeling a bit crap cos of it but hoping all will be well soon. doesn't help that i only have two to three days off prior and same after. i may just quit.. after all, there was a time women would leave the civil service after they were married.. lol

Arrrhhhh 8 weeks today and the flipping silly dreams are starting!
Last night my dress was missing so had to turn up in white trousers and tee shirt and then none of my guests turned up!!!

I had a dream last week that my hairdresses and make up woman didn't turn up, so a guest (who i didnt know) said "I'll do your make up for you" only her make up was all over her face eyes and cheeks so I said No thanks! Then the wedding car came, only it was a 40' limo, packed with people who I didn't know! Dad got in it and left me!!!! Car had to come back for me, and when I got in it I had a hole in my dress by my knee??

Strange, very strange!

Well I'm off to pay the photographer (thanks for the money Mum!!) in a bit, then we're going to get DD some flowers, then make our bouquets tonight!

I'll try and post a pic of them when they're done if anyone wants a nosey at them?

5 weeks tomorrow, woo hoooooooooooooooooooo!!

my worst dream recently was that i changed out of my dress and put jeans and t-shirt on, then hung my dress up for everyone to see. Then my sister told me what an idiot i was and i decided i would put it back on, we went to get it and it had been stolen, then the rest of the dream was me crying and searching for it!

my photographer phoned me today to arrange a meet up so excited! she is going to phone me next week at some point to arrange it.

my hen night is 4 weeks tomorrow! i cant wait as not had proper night out in ages!!!
