I'm getting organised

Had some time off today and
sorted flowers and paid desposit,
Ordered material for flower girl dresses,
and organised a dress maker to alter my dress and bridesmaids (if they need it) she lives a few minutes away too

Have bought my shoe - no dress but shoes! Great start!!!!!

I popped into Debenhams and picked up a necklace and bracelet for £14 in the sale :money:

well we went and got the guys all fitted for kilts and ordered, they will be ready in about 6 weeks! To take my son 4 weeks before for his measurements as he is only 2 and they want to leave it as late as possible!

after that we went to registry office and handed in our forms and paid the fees, it felt so strange doing that. I felt a sudden pang of panic, not about the actual marriage just the fact its so real now!

gonna pop to ernest jones tomorrow with my rings and see how much it would cost for them to be engraved and also to have my Engagement ring diped and polished

i'm with you on the panic hunnycat. at least once you get those forms n, it goes from being a bloody expensive party to a real wedding celebration! lol. time is freaking me out and if i spent less time here and more doing stuff, i might get somewhere but right now, i am stuck on account of finance. its so frustrating.

totally rethinking rings AGAIN. i seen what i want and h2b has seen what he wants but we now can't get in our size although in price ange we are happy ith. i am going to my fave jewellers tomoz and asking if he can resize for me. if so, bobs your uncle.

timpson do engraving so gonna check with them for price. they won't do as many letters as i want but i can live with that. we were gonna have 'two hearts one soul 2010' but its four characters over. h2b originally wanted 'soulmates' but liked the 2 ♥'s 1 soul when i mentioned it. hmmmmm... decisions decisions!

Ok, my oh was working late last night so I donned my wedding shoes and bright pink socks to 'wear them in'.....I was told the socks will help slightly stretch them to make them comfy....does anyone think I'm a tad early ha ha ha ha

Oh I can hardly contain my excitement, I'm on a countdown....84 days to go and 11 weeks left at work!!!! That means 12 weeks today til my wedding - yikes!!!!

We're pretty much organised, half the guys got measured for their suits on Weds and the other half are going this afternoon.

We met with the venue last week....all went really really well until I received the upated schedule and they'd removed our intermediate sorbet course.....when I questionned, she said it was because the wedding manager we saw had deleted it, as we were requesting it was complimentary. Last year, they said they could do it as complimentary....unfortunately we didn't get it in writing. I doubt now that we will get it complimentary as they said they don't discount anything...so all the brides pay the same. It kinda took the shine off a little, but on the whole the venue and staff have been brilliant. Oh well. It only amounts to about £200 but it would just have been nice for a little extra.

I'm now just waiting for the call from the bridal shop to say my dress has arrived, it was due early July...it's now mid-July. I was assured about six weeks ago that all was on track, so not overly worried!

About 90% of our invites have been sent out now. Am just waiting for the RSVPs to come back. Deadline is 31 aug, but I wish some people would RSVP now so i know if they're coming or not.....I'm such a control freak!!!

Is everyone else getting excited?? :j It's all I can think about!!

I've just purcased 4 pairs of shoes from the next sale, fingers crossed I like 1 pair on

aww chel, i am sure you will. i found my pair after months of torment.

cara - i am same with rsvp. i have had many verbal ones which i fine but about seven with no response whatsoever and they are the ones that will affect m numbers greatly (many between 2-4 children each time. )

i have peopel i can invite if some say no but i would really like to know before the week prior and i am becoming a bbit bz over it all. h2b is getting rather fed up with me but its all his side of the family so i guess he might be taking it a bit personally.. :rotfl:

chel - that's great .... 4 pairs of shoes. I found it a nightmare, as I'm a size 2 normally but had to get size 1 wedding shoes - grrr!!!

How exciting - getting married the same day....i just cannot wait!

magicgirl - it's soooo frustrating isn't it about the rsvp's?! I was thinking of sending a VERY polite reminder email to everyone about RSVP'ing so I know if they are coming and if they have any dietary requirements!! Hopefully that will kick a few into action!! :rotfl:
