I've heard that my dress has been shipped and should be in the bridal shop next Tues. Am going to see it next Wednesday - cannot wait!!!

Just querying about fittings now, as my mum wants to be there but she is moving away at the end of next week and I don't know how i'm going to pull it all in!!! I've just emailed the shop to see if it is possible to have my first fitting on Friday 3rd Sept, with a final fitting on 24th sept - but my wedding is on 9th Oct and I don't know if this is realistic or feasible.

We got our rings. Luckily my oh's friends mum is a jeweller and managed to get us our platinum plain bands at trade price. My OH was quoted over £2k for a 6mm platinum plain band. Luckily we managed to get mine and his for just over £1k. Still crazy prices though!

    Oooh it's all coming together.

I've been drafting a VERY polite email which I am going to email/facebook on 1st August to those guests who have yet to reply, reminding them that they must do so by 31 August - otherwise basically they cannot come, except to the evening!

79 days to go and counting!!!

Oh and if I ever watch any weddingy type programmes and I hear our music that I am walking down the aisle too - I start crying - oh dear!! Mind you, maybe if I can get it all out now.....?!

    xx

lmao. i guess it depends on how far your invited guests are..

ours were mostly h2b's family and they mostly have (eventually) said no. lol

I will be handing out a few more soon.. once i know how many spaces i have to fill..

I need min 50 adult guests - I currenlty have 46 confirmed (plus 17 children - half price; and 4 babies.. free)

I budgeted for 60adults and 20 children. don't mind if it is a bit less but hoped it wasn't more. i totally forgot to send invite o my sisters fil but done that now. my dady asked for an invite for one of his mates (who has just brought my favours over form india so i have no problem with that) and tw old family friends i am waiting on an answer from. still haven't been told if h2b's nephew will come. they are waiting to see what happens with his gf's uni which may or may not be an issue.. she won't know til end aug but they suggested it is 'probably a no'. i wish they would just SAY no as i think its quite clear they don't WANT to come but i will elave their place open til they commit. i have no prob holding places for people who are tryin to afford it but not sure if they'll have pennies etc but the other side bugs me. but then, i am just a bridezila rght now so don't listen to me.. haha

next week, i need to order bay trees (for outside the church.. gonna gove them to parents as gifts after the wedding); pay friend money for flowers (so i don't 'run out' of money prior and can tick off the list) buy sweets for last favours and make them up... (looking forward to doing this in the hols with the kiddiwinks ) and .. um... not sure what else?! sure there is loads though!

I think people don't like to say no, as it may upset/offend when infact people JUST WANT TO KNOW! lol I'm having a fairly small number to the day and they have known the date for a while, the invites are just for formalities sake really, not bothered how many come to the evening either as numbers aren't really an issue.

I can see why no response is annoying though, it's not far different from doing a kids party at soft play or similar where you NEED to know, it's all fun fun fun.

    On the plus side,

All my day invites have been sent
I need 6 envelopes for the evening ones, most have been put out.
I may have sorted my flowers

Hee hee - sorry I am a complete control freak and our invites went out at the beginning / middle of June.

I don't really mind about evening guests. But it's the day people. I've already had to pay in full for 100 people and am certain we have 87 definites now, although 71 confirmed. So it's the extra 20 people we have invited (107 in total as we can pay for the extra one or two) but we think there are at least 4 who def wont come. I suppose because I'm such an organised person, I'd like to know so i can bump people up if necessary.

If there are any extras as well, we have to pay this mid sept too....thing is, I'm nosey and want to know who is coming - hee hee!!! :rotfl:

    Hey ladies!

Back from hols ~ gorgeous weather, lovely break, fab hotel, but would never go back to Benidorm again ~ what a !!!!!! tip that place is! (Down the main strip area I mean, not further afield)

Anyway this isn't really nice, so apologies in advance! I came on the day we went away, which made me want to check my dates for the wedding, and I'm only due on the weekend of the wedding aren't I!

I'm on the mini pill, can't take the combined pill, which would be great because I could have just continued to take that and miss the 'bleed' week, so does anyone know if there is anything the GP can give me? It would mean I'd be on for the wedding then the first couple of days of honeymoon

    Blinkin typical!

Does anyone elses dates fall on the wedding or honeymoon??

Oh and I've been ever so good on my diet! I covered my legs with choclate yesterday ~ I was giving the baby some milky way stars and instead of licking my fingers (I have to break them in half for him) I cut them with a knife and wiped my fingers on my legs as I was giving them to him :rotfl:

I NEED to get into this dress and after seeing the holiday snaps of me ~ well Miss Piggy ain't got nowt on me! :o:D:rotfl:

I have a similar problem in that I seem to be trying to 'sync' with my daughter which would not be a problem expect she is all over the place (being 13) so I wasn't, then I was, currently wasn't but who knows!! :o Speak to your GP but mine couldn't help :(

Me and my daughter are both due at the same time and have been for a couple of months now, so she's pretty naffed off too lol!

I'm sure there's something you can take to stop it, but if not, I'll just beg for the combined pill for a couple of months lol

Here's hoping my GP will sympathise with me and help!

I had a coil fitted in January and thankfully i have stopped completely but the doctor told me if it had not settled down there is a pill they can give you to take for a couple of weeks to hold it off :) I would ask about it. I think its Norethisterone they can give. :D
