I am currently looking at siamese orchid or something like that. supposed to be expensive drinks but good karaoke. not sure about meal. I think i am gonna label the girls as 'magic girl's maids/matrons' or something so you can spot me and give me a wave. :PProud to be Member of BSC #92Hoping to get debt free again :wall::heart2: working hard to make my daughters proud :heart2:0 -
magic, that looks brill!
I haven't even thought about a hen night because I don't want one! My Aunty (one of our witnesses) was badgering OH at the weekend telling him to tell me I MUST have one.
She said something about going out for a meal, with her, my daughter, my Mum, my Nan (Nan !!!!!!???!!) and some friends, but I don't want to, because I have my stepnan who I would want to come (who I only remember from my childhood, I didn't know my proper nan then because she lived in Spain) and none of them get on so seeing as though it would be MY night, then I should be able to choose who goes and seeing as though there would be murder, then it won't be happening!
I wouldn't mind going out for a meal and a few drinks with friends but I couldn't have them spending out because of me just before the wedding.
I just think I'm just too nice lol, I put everyone else before me!Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
shell - its entirely up to you. you can occassionally be too nice though.
My eldest (aged ten) is devastated cos i haven't invited her. she even added 'i don't have to drink'. TOO RIGHT! lol
i chose the date to avoid he anniversary and birthdays of friends but even then loads had other reasons for not coming so i am just sticking with it.
i need to find some good karaoke bars/buffets in china town. any reccomendations greatly appreciated. i originally wanted to go to this persian restaurant i visited years ago bu teh only persian place is outside of town. we are staying at teh premier inn on portland street so hope to avoid travel costs (other than teh train from london to manchester. lol)Proud to be Member of BSC #92Hoping to get debt free again :wall::heart2: working hard to make my daughters proud :heart2:0 -
All i know is the date for the hen night nothing else!
I have requested a quiet meal beforehand so i can take my gran and my cousin (on of my bm's)so that they can be part of it. My gran is 87 and cousin is 14!
OH's stag do is the 11th Septemberthink they doing go karting and then drink!
Mil2b has updated her Facebook saying she cant believe its just over 9 weeks till her son gets married! only 66 days :eek:would love to win an ipad!

66 days, is that it?! Oh my god!!
Tried my dress on again today and I think I need about 166 days to get into it!:eek:
My OH is going bowling, then for a meal, then to a pub to watch a band for his stag do, so nothing spectacular at all!
My shoes came today. I love them, but they are very high!
They're not uncomfortable because they've got a platform sole on them, but I tried them on before and it felt like I had stilts on lol!
Mind you, I'm 5'6 and OH is 6'5, so I could wear them for the ceremony and pics (they're hot pink), then ditch them for a more comfortable pair in the evening to dance in, or better still, go barefoot!Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
Hi all, picked up a little bag in ivory from BHS yesterday, for a bargainous £5 in the sale!! Managed to get a gift for MIL2B and my Mum for £10 each reduced from £30!! So chuffed all round:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0

SNAP!!! I had a pair arrive yesterday, they are lovely but wayyyyyyy too hight they actually hurt my calfs but they were comfy on my feet.
Another pair came today and they are sooooooooooo comfy. I made OH sit upstairs for half an hour while I pottered around in them.
The bridesmaids shoes came to and they match the dresses perfectly:heart2: 'Tied the Knot' Saturday 9th October 2010 :heart2::blushing: Member of Diet Club October 2010 Brides and Grooms :blushing:Starting Weight: 14 stone 10.8lbsCurrent Weight: 13 stone 2lbsTotal loss: 21.8lbs :j0 -
loving these bargains.
well done girls.
not sure what to do now... i got so much sorted but so much still to do and can't cos its all a time thing. i have ordered pew ends (have i mentioned that? lol) and need to get song list sorted. need to get h2bs music on to his ipod but the ipod on his iphone isn't working.(he needs the music to practice his song)
need to sort my speech and get girls practsing their poem.
(my sis wrote this.. just to put it in context, my h2b's surname is 'life')
Life is good, Life is great,
We're proud to bear the name
And now that mummy is marrying daddy,
We're sure she'll feel the same.
It's taken a while to get to this point
But we're sure you'll all agree
That it is definately worth the wait
To celebrate with our family.
not sure when to have it.. thats the only thing. it sounds like something that should be before the ceremony but i can always re-jig the wording to make it fit for after the ceremony and maybe do it in between the speeches.. maybe to introduce the speeches? all advice and suggections appreciated. xProud to be Member of BSC #92Hoping to get debt free again :wall::heart2: working hard to make my daughters proud :heart2:0 -
