chelbelle they cannot legally enforce it but he may lose his job if he doesn't agree. as soon as it is enforced, you must let tax credits know so they can make adjustments accordingly.

is the 2k gros or net? it equates to about 166/m gros or 125 net. not ideal but in many cases, ppl are being made redundant and a few companies are trying to cut pay to keep more peole in work. hard balance to strike when you are on the receiving end but worth seeking further advce.

Just when we thought money worries were over!

DP has just come home from work and told me that he just had a heads up from from his boss that everyone in the firm is getting a 5% pay cut

    Can they do this???

    He's set to loose £2000 a year

i would ask on the employment section if you have not already there will be someone on there who can advise you.

12 weeks today for me!!! It's coming around so quickly, eek!!

We're on holiday on Monday for a week, time to recharge those batteries and then come home and get stuck into everything.

Still got to get the flaming invites out, so that's first on my list!

OMG that means the same for me, well that feels a little bit close!

Took Bms to see the venue today so the litle ones wont feel too intimidated on the day, as theres a lot of steps and it generally is a big place.

which brings me to a question, what order are you all walking in, ie with BMs and flower girls. i have one adult bm and two flower girls (they are my sis and nieces) and i would love to have them in traditional girls in front, me then my sis, but i think my venue is quite scary for little ones (4 and 8, but 8 year old isnt exactly an attention lover iykwim) so trying to decide, sis the girls then me, girls then sis then me (so if they do freak they could all walk together) or all behind me? what do you all think?

My daughter is walking in, then me! I'm only having 1 bridesmaid lol

If I were you and this is just my opinion, I'd have the little ones first, then your sis, then you.

Only because if the kids get upset or freak out, at least they can be nabbed and consoled while your sis is coming in, then it should be all calm for when you walk down! :D

Oh I meant to say, (unless I already have and can't remember, but can't be bothered scrolling back to see lol), I have my dress.

It's not the dress of my dreams, but when you haven't got the body of your dreams, it's bloody hard to dress it! :rotfl:

I have this dress and it's taken me about 2 months to pluck up the courage to buy the damn thing!

    5164T.jpg

It's brand new with the tags on, not a copy and cost me just under £200 because it's not 'this season'! Like I care about that lol!

It's made by Roz la Kelin (yeah, I said 'who?!' when I first saw it lol) but I think it will suit my figure and shape perfectly.

I can't wait to see it in the flesh!!!!!!

Oh and this is how I'm going to have my hair now :

    weddinghair.jpg

My hair is naturally curly anyway but I'm going to have to get a really good cut before the day, because it's down to my bum now!

Feel free to tell me to shut the hell up, but I'm getting really excited now!! :o:D

gorgeous shellsuit, both the dress and the hairstyle, and glad of your suggestion about bms as that is what i am thinking, it was just cos sis had pointed out that traditionally she would walk behind, but i dont care about traditional, and i actually think its nice for them to get the attention before the bride, AND i put a lot of effort into sorting their outfits, and flowers etc, i want everyone to look at them and see how gorgeous they all look!

I think it's the American way to have the bridesmaids first and the bride last, whereas we would have the bride first then the bridesmaids, but I think that of course everyone wants to see what the bride looks like, so it's nice for the bridesmaids to have their '30 seconds of fame' before the bride makes an entrance!

If it was me at a wedding and the bride walked in then the bridesmaids, I don't think I'd be interested once the bride walked in and I'd seen how gorgeous and happy she looked, so probably wouldn't be bothered about looking who came in behind her! xx

  • Oooo, 3 months for me (13 weeks tomorrow).

Shell, lovely hair idea and dress!

Chel - what brilliant timing with the pay cut. Hope something good comes your way.

Got my invites today so its envelope writing for me tomorrow. That's if MiL2B gets me the addresses I requested last week. :o.
Now I just have to find my evening invite list so I can remember who is supposed to be invited. :p

To all those due a long needed holiday, enjoy. For all those who are staying in sunny England and not going anywhere, the planning will soon be over so lets get cracking!
How long til pay day?
