Hunnycat - thank you. Have now set it up and will be back on vistaprint soon. :)

frannyann. I know exactly how you feel. I thought I would try and be clever and do loads of online shopping but had to spend all day on phone and everything I wanted to buy is not accepting my card cos it runs out on Tuesday. :(. That's three whole days will be wasted. Bit gutted but will use the time to finish evening invites.

    Hi ladies

OMG, you all seem so organised! I thought I'd first post an update from me because I've not been on this thread much... I'm getting married in Scotland and live in England so I think I've got 2 weekends planned up there before the big day...doable, right?!!

Here's my still-to-dos! Let me know if you can see anything obvious that we've forgotten!

    - Invites - going out this week - fingers crossed I've ordered enough (why did I not count this and just guess???!!!)
    - Cake - need to go to the shop to order it before August
    - Favours - being made by a friend - need greaseproof paper (easy to get) and buy more ribbon
    - Order of Service cards - thinking about doing scrolls - again, maybe more ribbon to tie them…
    - Flights to Heathrow and airport hotel to book
    - Airport lounge to book
    - Registrar - can give notice from 23 July (whatever that means!!)
    - Venue - going to organise trip to see them in Aug for final arrangements - food, canapes, wine, buffet, timings…
    - Florist - organise for Sept (already had preliminary appt so just to finalise everything)
    - Band/DJ - need to call to reconfirm timings etc
    - Readings/music - need to decide on
    - Presents - jewellery for sister, flowers for mums, H2B to organise best man's. Flower girl and page boy sorted.
    - My ring - need to take back to the jewellers - too small :(
    - Hair - trial for Sept
    - Make up - might do my own  (is this 'allowed'??? ;))
    - Guest book - waiting for some amazon vouchers to order one I saw on there

    Easy days! Right?! ;)

    >>>skoots off to catch up on the thread>>>

    xx

really excited today, as i bought a dress off of ebay for the day after, and to wear when on honeymoon in australia when we go to the opera house for an evening. wanted an ivory dress (so i can still pretend to be a bride for a bit longer!) it arrived today and is gorgeous, maybe a little ott for the day after as it is actually and ebony and ivory knee length wedding dress, but its gorgeous and im going to wear it even if i look stupid!

I've been thinking about this too - hmm, what to wear... - we are only going to Heathrow the next day (don't go on honeymoon until the Monday) but still want something pretty, appropriate for travelling and appropriate for Glasgow in October! Must get thinking cap on...

dress turned out to be a disaster - she had described it as excellent condition, but it had lots of marks and stains on it and a crystal missing from the belt, so she is refunding me.

think im going to just get a mrs ****** or just married t-shirt.

    Oh bubble that's pants!

Why can't everyone just be honest, grrr!

I was selling a wedding dress with a teeny tiny hole in the netting, so I said so and took a pic of it ~ and I've had proper brideszillas battling over it and hounding me because they didn't win it and they want it! lol

oh bubbles.. thats such a shame. :(

i want to treat myself to a new outfit but keeping my sensible head on me and know that i just can't afford it yet.

i love the idea of a just married t-shirt and you could alwasy get a matching one for dh (as he will be then. :D )

i have been desperately paying off bits and pieces. rings are gonna wait a while cos the ones we fell in love with are double what we were going to pay. typical!

have paid off the chair covers.

main payments left are rings, bus, and dress. oh - still need to get outfit for best man but not majorly worried about that cos we already know what we want. :) so 2k to pay in 8 weeks. so pleased i am on top of my bills although still gotta pay two weeks rent. that means my money for this month is gone thouh and its only the second. :o

only three months to go. ARGH!

I have a bridesmaids dress, so now have my colour scheme (purple) Although on looking for things to go with it, who knew how many different purples there are. The dress is actually lilac with a black layer over it, so it seems the best shade is darker purple, i think i'll be ok as long as i steer clear of reddy purples though!

I think i've found my photographer too, need to phone him back, i think considering our budget he's giving us a good deal and he's good. No very fancy pics but i'm not into having my photo taken anyway.

He will also have a booth at the evening do, for people to get their piccy taken and they can get it there and then in a mount for £7.50.

As he's going to be at the evening do when the booth is quiet he goes round taking pics which are included in our package! :T

    Still need:

    Far too much!
