Hello!!
Feeling much more positive today comparing to yesterday.
Negatives of the day:
- DD had a tights tantrum this morning and after that show and tell hysterics (don't ask)
- Went to bank with MY cheque book with MY name and MY account number on it and with MY passport with MY name and picture on it and they would not give me money because I didn't have that piece of plastic called switch card with me. So I have now a tenner to last me for the weekend. -> silver lining: will defo be AF as can't afford to buy anything to drink so water it is
Positives:
- My job is going to be made permanent with pay rise, holidays etc
- I got a delivery job with TNT, it is not regular stuff but will help
- I got an enquiry to do more house sitting
- Decided to cancel my BR court and carry on negotiating for F&F offers
So that is no 1 for October for me please Fay!!"Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

I'm into the "Woe is me, why can't I have one drink when everyone else in the world can?" mode tonight. I was feeling really positive this morning as well.
Well, I won't give in to my own whining. :rotfl: I have done something ambitious and put £25 in my money box. Tonight and the next 4 days are going to be AF for me!
I'm going to focus on how good I will feel being AF and think about what I could spend the "extra" money on at the end of the month.:idea:HOUSE MOVE FUND £16,000/ £19,000

Hi BHB
I took antabuse and campral for about a year- didn't get any side effects as such, but you have to be careful with antabuse, even stuff like alcohol hand sanitizers (in most surgeries now) and mouth wash can kick off a reaction-also certain deoderants and perfumes etc. They gave me a card to carry around in my purse in case of emergencies, because the reaction to alcohol is pretty awful-risked it once and really paid for it for about 4 days, dreadful sickness and pretty much like the worst hangover you've ever had-felt like death. Took campral too which is supposed to stop cravings but can't say it was particularly effective-still felt like a drink every day and I think kudzu was just as good- what really helped bring me back to life was the Vit B injections I had in hospital and I still take berrocca to this day. Don't think about asking for antabuse if you think you might waver, it does what it says on the tin-it makes you very ill if you drink.
Hope you find something soon to help, I know what its like when you are sick to death of drinking, you'll try anything to save yourself and I hope something works for you- I really mean that.
Good luck to everyone tonight, fingers crossed for you all.0 -
Hi everybody :hello:
Hope everybody is OK tonight, the first day of October - already. At least it has still been sunny today but it's going a bit cold in the evening. Mr PIR said it made him feel like having a drink - I said no way for me. :j
So, one AFD please, Fay. BTW, my Dad used to reel off that 'it's a brawd bricht nicht tonicht, hows your dochter, alricht' (he's originally from the north of Scotland, but moved down to NW England as a baby).
Jo: I hope that little girl is OK

1st of October, a bell tolled lightly for me in the early evening, tolling triggered off a thought of a glass of wine. The thought progressed to go the Mr S and buy some wine and choccy etc. Then decided to wash up and have a cup of tea with some rice pudding instead.
RESULT!!! Didn't go out and didn't have a drink tonight!
