..........dont want to sound 'dull' but can someone please tell me how you put the "quote" from another poster as an actual "quote". I've tried highlighting the bit I want to "quote" and posting and clearly thats not right!

Hiya Gromit, as Fay said, just click 'quote' under the message you want to quote, you will see the whole message including the quote references between [] symbols. You can edit the actual message inside the quotes if you don't want to quote the whole lot - but do not edit anything between the [] symbols otherwise it will not quote properly. Plus also make sure you leave the [] symbols in, there's one at the beginning and always a [/QUOTE] at the end. Hope that helps?

Right after that gotta run, woke up cranky like Fay this morning, v. grouchy :undecided but unhungovered :)

morning all! hope you are all well. one for me please Fay - hopefully the momentum I've gathered over the past week will keep me going though this one.
I too have begun to notice how much alcohol there is everywhere and how it is just pervasive in everything. Like you watch a programme about something and there are people drinking wine. I went to a meeting recently and was given a bottle of wine as a thank you (have already given it away to someone as a thankyou for something else!). I notice everyone in the supemarket with booze in their basket/trolley. Mind you then I look at their faces and think " they look ill" or, they are the sort of person (unlike me) who can drink in moderation and stop when they like.
I do now think though that I am preferring this life of AFness. I feel in control, I feel positive and I feel happier with myself and can be nicer to everyone I meet. I also feel I have more choice in things - can go places by car and not be dictated to by drinking, so O dont need to plan taxis/trains back or worse, chosing not to go to places because I "wont enjoy it if I cant have a drink".
    It's freedom I suppose.

This has made me think about my total drink-related spend that I dont do any more :

    - eyedrops to get rid of the morning redness!
    - expensive Clarins beauty flash balm to make skin look better for work
    - trains/taxis to get home
    - occasional stays in hotel (to attend a "do" rather than drive home)
    - bought lunches/breakfasts because too hungover/late for work to bother make at home
    - painkillers/resolve/lucozade for morning after
why oh why do we do it?
