I do now think though that I am preferring this life of AFness. I feel in control, I feel positive and I feel happier with myself and can be nicer to everyone I meet. I also feel I have more choice in things - can go places by car and not be dictated to by drinking, so O dont need to plan taxis/trains back or worse, chosing not to go to places because I "wont enjoy it if I cant have a drink".
    It's freedom I suppose.

    :T Well done.

  • Ok so forgive me if I get it a bit wrong initially - updating my lovely spreadsheet now - I dunno whether to stay up late and keep an weather'd eye out for you all - get up early and see how you've all done

OR just not got to sleep :)

Seriously well done for everyone saving money, calories and sore heads this morning - really chuffed that so many folks have been AF

Those who ahven't been AF seem to be really managing the 'cutting down' so well done to you as well (sorry no stars though, its a strict policy :))

Mrs Dee to the money saving list (for me anyway) I should add all those midnight feasts - when the food seems to just vanish :)

  • Morning all!

Been really busy and not near the computer for a few days - so, where am I up to?

YM - did the 20/20 September Challenge :j
Fay - done 1/17 on October so far:j

And....thanks to this group, I've gone from drinking every night for about 3 years to not drinking at all during the week for 5 weeks now!!!!! And just look at my total money saved - I don't know how I afforded to drink that much (well, I didn't really, that's why I've got debts that I'm proud to be dealing with too)!!!

    Thanks to you all:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j
Amount saved by cutting down on  since 24/08/2009....... :j£81.78:j

This has made me think about my total drink-related spend that I dont do any more :

    - eyedrops to get rid of the morning redness!
    - expensive Clarins beauty flash balm to make skin look better for work

dashes in at the mention of anything to do with skincare... ;)

I quite agree that it's nice to not have to do it but that stuff is the bees knees :D

No stars for me yet but love to all, especially the cranky ones ;)

    Well done Marthasdad *
Hey I'd already put you down for one molly *

HB - you got another 10 days to collect your gold stars :)

Ok - no scores on doors yet

    BUT

30 of us on the challenge

In my little black book 20 of you have these for an AFD*
Theres only 5 passes so far (everyone who wasn't AF had an allowance so well done)
And 5 yet to report in

Off to work magic with the spreadsheets and come up with the total WONGA saved

Woo hoo OK so 20/30 AF last night so far :) spreadsheet is updated - stars allocated so far :)

Needing more figures from folks to up me totals for the wonga........

    FluffyB
    40somethingmum
    GreyPilgrim
    Price is Right
    Wannabefree

I can't (might not have asked you......) to find out your figure for daily spends on Alkofrol (if indeed you want it included) can you poke me in the eye with a sharp stick and remind me again (you've probably posted it but I have missed it - I will look back later on anyway :)

    I give up!!

    Don't give up!!

Don't delete the one at the start either - leave the whole lot in, don't mess with the symbols or what's in them!! i.e. [ QUOTE = gromit 2303;25569 ] (had to put spaces between it otherwise it'd quote something and I didn't want it to as I was using it as an example

It's so simple but why is it so difficult to explain
