She may only want to get help when she loses her friends, job, relationship, house, health etc.
For many people, they have to be in serious emotional pain before they are willing to go to any lengths to stop drinking.
You need to be aware that you are powerless over her. She will drink if she wants despite your best efforts.
Many alcoholics put alcohol before ALL relationships in their lives, and end up with no friends or family.
Good luck - your efforts are admirable
GC your posts are always so spot on.
This is me, last night I was just going to have one or two with my family and friends...so why was I the one absolutly slaughtered??? It can't be just one with me and I really want to stop, its causing all sorts of problems. I can't remember what I said, but I know I upset one friend
I really want to join you on your 365 day challenge, but am so scared I will let everone down and myself if Im honest. But I will be AF today, I'll worry about tomorrow when it gets here.
Sorry to be downbeat when I should be being positive

:hello:HB, hope you survived Ikea!
Have definitely decided on no target for January. I will have a minimum in my head that mustn't fall below but intend to 'declare' a day at a time. Hope this doesn't mess up your scoring.
I know this may sound like setting targets after the event but I'm convinced that after a year I won't lie to myself or more importantly to you guys. If we're not honest on here then what's the point?0 -
Marru, unfortunatly mine is correct aswell0

Morning Marru, happy new year and thanks for scoring. not been posting much but keep having a little read when I can. DS1's laptops screen has cracked (apparently it's the thing!! ggrrrrr) so am letting him use my computer more than usual to keep the peace. Didnt help that a week before xmas his xbox got the rrod so he couldn't play his new xmas games. Got him new mobile contract yday with a free xbox - so hopefully his teen hormones will be back to 'normal' soon.
My score needs updating to 10! :T I finally made my score, been AF the last 2 evenings and the first AF NYE's I can remember. I opted to take the kids to Manchester, go ice skating, for a chinese and then catch the fireworks at midnight. It was fab and I had to drive as we live 12 miles away.
My AF score for January will be easy to predict as I never drink! (aside Jan 2008 - dads traumatic death)
So HB please put me down for 31.
and a healthy happy new year to you all xx0 -

oh dear! let's hope someone decent finds it. My brother and sister have been lost phones in central London and they've been found. I've also found a couple of mobiles and managed to trace their owners. Registered phones are pretty useless to most people. Fingers x'd for you.0 -

HAPPY NEW YEAR!_party_
I wasn't AF last night but I didn't drink too much and I alternated every alcoholic drink with a glass of water with milk thistle  so I woke up completely unhungovered this morning.:T
 to any new people I might have missed saying hello to. These are a great bunch of people and have helped me enormously during last year and hopefully this year will be even better for everyone.:AHOUSE MOVE FUND £16,000/ £19,000
