I am putting the money away to save for the kids birthdays, can't remember how much it was now....hold on....

Ah yes, £1,260 for 360 days as I only started putting money away today. I've opened a Halifax websaver account and will be sticking £3.50 in a day, that's the minimum I spend on drink, anything up to £6.00 but I thought more realistic if I save £3.50 and more manageable. That will pay for all their pressies and the 2 young'uns parties. Plus it's DD1's 18th next year  (can't believe I'm old enough!!). It'll also pay for OH and my mums birthdays. So can't let that lot down can I!!

I'm not going to break it down, I will do the monthly challenges but I'm in for the long haul, can't give myself excuses anymore :)

Jo and Miss Piggy I think I will keep a record of exactly how much I spend on alcohol each month in 2010 and report it on this thread. I would love to have my hair done more often and spending less on alcohol might mean I can....:D
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

    Happy New Year All.

I'm hoping to save about £800 by not buying vodka and fizzy drinks to go with it.

I shall be drinking a lot of tea this year lol.

Shaggy. that is a fab idea. I NEVER get my hair coloured properly and I can't remember the last time I had my eyebrows waxed. So perhaps thats what I should do with the savings I make. :T

  • Happy New Year everyone,

I've not been on here for a while, mainly through the shame of failing so miserably in my quest to become AF - but today is a new day, a new year and a new decade and though I cannot control what life throws at me, I can control how I react (or at least try!).

I have decided that targets do not work for me, I slip up once and then feel so miserable, I just give up completely so am going for the 'one day at a time' approach. I am going to have an AF day today, I will deal with tomorrow when it gets here!

This thread moves so fast that I have not been able to read back very far, but hugs to those who need them. I am going to try to pop in each day, whether it has been a good or bad day in order to keep myself focussed.

Good luck to everyone with whatever they wish to achieve this year!

    MOS X
