nearly caved in to go to supermarket when brother was going home, instead I took off my shoes and quickly got innto my pj's - was only going to let myself get a 'small can' (large glasses wine) - but am now in my beddybye clothes so no chance of me moving

sad sad sad that I have to almost cajole myself - won't say af yet as night is young......

    waves to all

But well done for resisting so far, Fay :T

Hope for you that you do make it through the evening :)

    Evening,

Really tired but AF, that is no 21 for me please YM. After picking DD up from after school club she screamed at me the whole journey that she needed a toilet and by the time we got home there was no urgency. I almost put her back into the car and drove to the shop to get sherry but didn't I think this is getting easier slowly but surely.

Well done everyone and thank you for really inspiring posts today esp Caz and Angie.

I am actually thinking of going to bed...

    Oh Marru :(

Well done on not buying sherry - think it does get easier over time as going for the drink stops becoming the reflex action - but it's still tough sometimes.

Have never slapped anyone hence being a bit shocked :o

If this is what sobriety does to you then I say bring back the booze :p

ps.thanx for the scores, YM :)

I agree entirely - it's stopped being a reflex action for me to grab the nearest wine bottle and pour a huge glass every time my DDs or Mr PIR upset me and I feel much stronger for it too, but as our wise little Honeybear says, it is hard sometimes.

17 for me now please YM.
