Thank you fayjmck for the welcome. Right, well there are 9 possible AF days left in September so Yellow Monkey could you put me down for 2?
I'm typing this whilst quaffing from a large glass of merlot but I feel strangely positive:j.
    I'm glad I found you.
    Su

    Hi Su :wave::wave: welcome Honey.

Remember its one day at a time. To pledge 2 days for the remainder of September is brilliant !

I used to drink to release the stress of a hectic day in the management rat race too. Before long your body gets to thinking that the drink is necessary when actually it is just a habit. Plan an evening when you do something different...go for a swim or the gym...& get some alternative drinks like Shloer/Lime & soda/J20 & lemonade etc.

Honestly the first AF evening will be tough but when you wake in the morning & realise that you did an AF day you will feel on top of the world. Then you will have to post on here before you go to work to tell someone about it:D:D

    Good luck & keep posting.

PS theres a scottish meet suggested on the main thread - dunno if any of you lot were thinking about it (you northern lot I mean :)) - whilst it scares me senseless I was almost thinking of going..........I won't drink anyway so its not a risk - don't do that in front of realative strangers, or mostly other humans - ironically!

I saw that meet thread too. Although I`m North-ish England I think Scotland is a little too far for me. Meets are good fun though. I went to one last year & its so nice to meet the people behing the usernames!:D

  • Not so scary?

It would be a definate 'have to come down thing' unless I can combine it with something - but I am curious.......glad you had fun :)

  • Goodnight all,

All comped out and full of fizzy water:D My challenge is definately getting easier, although I still miss a glass of chilled wine, but I wont give in. I think GP like you at the end of the challenge I will make a decision whether or not to continue, it would make sense.

Hope everyone has had a good night.

Will check back in tommorow. :j

Maybe YM could have a special 100 day`ers section on the league table:D...count me in to.

Actually my thinking is if you have managed 100 days then why waste all that good work & detox just to slip back into the bad ways again?

When I stopped smoking I was determined not to start again or that would have been a waste of the effort I had put in over those early difficult days....so I continued thinking like that & its been over 20 years now!

    Night All.

  • Morning
I'd love to join you on the 100 day challenge but think it's too early for me. I may well consider a second leg in 2010. From Jan 1st to end of March - (b'day !).

    20/30

    Have a good day :)
