  • Good morning to all of you,

YM 19 for me please not 20!

I did have a drink on sat night, I didn't have any cravings, I just wanted to see how I felt about it after not drinking for a while so I had one glass of wine only with dinner and it seemed ok - nothing special and I didn't want anymore so am really pleased with that and now back on the wagon!

Wow, this thread has grown since I left ya all on Thursday, I've got some catching up to do at lunchtime.

    Have a good day everyone....

morning all! YM that's 19 for me please.
Wow, lots of deep thoughts from everyone already today. I can understand entirely the "all or nothing" thing. I too could give up for a while and then thought it would be easy to handle having the occasional drink on a Saturday night but then that grew to be Friday, Saturday and Sunday and before I knew it, it was a bottle of wine every night. I just cant control that, so easier fo me to be AF.
Re alternative drinks, I've been drinking lots of tea (including fruit/herb teas), hi-juice squash with dinner, hot drink such as chocolate, ovaltine or horlicks after dinner and, not drinking wine anymore, drink less quantity anyway, so just one glass of squash with dinner and then one hot drink later, whereas normally I'd have been topping up my glass with wine every few minutes all night.
Lovely weather over the weekend - I've really been feeling glad to be alive and sort of "grounded".
To all of us this week - those of us who want to stay AF - and those that are cutting down - Good Luck everyone.

    Morning all.....:hello:

Not stepped up to any challange since I been on here but think I am going to give myself one now.
Not had an AF day yet this month but first 15 days of month were holiday and I've pretty much had a wine (bottle that is) every night since return. Anyhow, got another interview Weds and got to meet with the Agency tomorrow that 'seem' to think I will get the job. Therefore, want to make today AF and tomorrow AF so that I am fit for the interview Weds morning.....

YM - can you put me down for target of 4 for Sept. I know there's not many days left in month but if I can achieve that......it will be a HUGE personal achievement for me. I'll think about next month if I can manage this one!!

    Have a good day all.....xx
  • Got you down for 4 gromit :D
  • Honeybear....have you tried Shloer? It really is a nice drink....and it comes in a few different flavours, white grape, red.....it isnt quiet wine but you can almost kid yourself it is...... its approx £1.90 a bottle but a really refreshing drink..

  • Morning all.

I think I might have miscounted my AF days slightly (only by a day or two)

Today is day 15, so there has been 14 days so far. I've spreadsheet-erised this now, so that I don't lose track. I have that mild, niggling headache again. And it's monday.

    Wah.
  • Thanks YM! Hope I dont fail.......
