I am starting to not think about drinking at all & just start planning what I am doing in the evening. Still feel groggy in the morning though...hmmm it may have not been the drink after all...maybe this is my normal creaky self now I am getting a bit older:confused::confused:

Oh well. Just to add hope everyone has a bright & happy Monday !!!

Thats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all …………. :(

Cutting down just does`nt work for me....all or nothing:eek::eek:

I actually think that it may be the meds that are making me feel ill. Can`t change that but got loads more energy being AF!

Well done on cutting down though Bat....you have done brilliantly given the stress that you`ve been through. (was going to use the beer smilie here but not appropriate on this thread really:D:D)

  • Hello all,

I am stuck on 2 AF days and am feeling pretty piddled off with myself.

I have had a bottle of wine every night since Wednesday and I think that the only way I am going to get out of this cycle is to stop drinking completely.

I have managed to go 3 months without a drink and then think I can drink moderately but then end up back at square one so I think I will join IM on the 100 day challenge - that will take me almost up to New Year.

Reading some of the posts from people who have given up completely is really inspiring, and it is so nice that they still come on here to support those of us who haven't reached that point. Thank you, and hopefully one day I can become one of those people.

I've just worked out that if I do a 100 day challenge, including last night, would make day 100 the 28th December, which is the date my dad died back in 1993. Possibly not freaky for you lot, but as I've discovered that I think he might be my higher power, I think that's odd

Anyways, gotta rush, half the school will be out today as it's Eid and the kids are predominately Muslim which is great as it will be quiet...but 75% of the staff are too so that means supply teachers everywhere

    Chow now :D
