pah! Miss my wine...i know part of it is the love of the alcohol etc but I also really like the taste

What does anyone else drink, especially in place of wine? Feel like I've got tea coming out my ears cos I've drunk so much of it

I drink whatever takes my fancy at the time to be honest, so my OH and I make sure we are well stocked with AF drinks, hot and cold. When I've got a real craving for booze, I scoff something sugary pretty sharpish to combat it, e.g. full fat coke or passion fruit J20 with lemonade.

Otherwise, I have water to hand all the time. I sometimes think it's wierd that I am an alcoholic, but my favourite drink has always been water and still is :p

If you love the taste of wine, have you tried cranberry juice or elderflower cordial with sparkling water? They are quite fragrant drinks, so perhaps they might help?

    Hugs

  • Thanks, Caz. Not so keen Cranberry but I do like Elderflower so I'll check that out :)

I'm for bed as well now so g'nite all :)

  • Hi

Late posting today, its been such a lovely day, weather wise.:j I've been for a walk in the woods, with the family today, you can feel autumn, though and its nearly time for crunching in leaves, "my favourite pastime".

Another AF day for me YM, makes 6, and 5/100 of my challenge. Feeling great this evening, my 4 day headache has finally subsided, so its onwards and upwards towards christmas I go. Hope everyone is okay, goodnight.:D

YM, please add another day for me, a long long night but now at last I can go to bed and get up unhungovered :)

  • I sure understand you cazza about time dragging when in an environment where you "should" be drinking but cannot. I can't do it and have to avoid the situation. I'm not yet forced into a "come and have a drink after work" scenario but it'd have to be a polite excuse to give it a miss.

I could cry at the thought of never having a session on the booze again. Just no option though.

As to drinks, I've rediscovered a love for tea. Always had it black. Not worried how many I have a day (the alternatives are much worse) but I have my water (though cut down from Evian and Volvic to Asda own for economy). I've always found Ribena and fizzy water a nice alternative or just some lime (fresh) in with soda. Even a non alcoholic mojito is possible (or nearish and still nice).
