Take The Baby0

I don't want to put a downer on it but I saw a holiday programme on Pontins yesterday and they mentioned the very basic accommodation can be very hit and miss. They showed floors and bedding very dirty and the bathrooms not much better.
They did say the upgrades were worth it.
Don't want to panic you as there are always horrors wherever you go, but maybe prepare yourself for an upgrade and then it will be a pleasant surprise when you get there and it is fine!!0 -
Hiya all. I'm back with my list so here goes:
Steraliser and milton, bottles, bowls and spoons, bumbo (for feeding in), pushchair, travel cot and bedding, clothes, towels, swim stuff, toys, dummies, bibs, nappies, wipes, food & milk, hand blender, bath stuff, hat and coat, sun lotion, baby monitor (??).
Am also going to take sleeping bags for us just in case bedding is dirty! Would try to get an upgrade before resorting to using them tho!
Anything I forgot???2012 wins approx £11,000 including 5k to spend on a holiday :j0 -
Looks like you've covered it all. We took changing mat from home too as baby was always settled when on it.
Baby monitor isn't essential, but is necessary for piece of mind in case. We took ours and didn't use it after the first night as the walls weren't that thick!
Have a great time!Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

oh must add the fridge was rubbish, nothing kept cold enough so if you are bottle feeding bear that in mind. i made up his bottles as i needed them but for trips out where i would normally have taken refidgerated bottles and kept them in a coolbag for a few hours i ended up buying cartons of ready made milk, i couldn't trust the fridge in the caravan to cool them properly, everything was only slightly below room temp even after 48 hours.52% tight0

when we took our at the time 3 month old to france 2 months ago i couldnt be bothered taking the stereliser etc and didnt really want to spend my holiday making, cooling and worrying about bottles........we bought steribottles and cartons of ready made milk.not exactly cheap but i found it well worth it for a weeks holiday, less hassle(and lot less to pack!) and saved a lot of time and worrying about how i was going to warm bottles etc.was a nice break for me too to be honest.the steribottles are tommee tippee and boots sell bags of 12 for £5.99.a lot of supermarkets sell them too.
we are also going to pontins for 4 days at the beginning of next month and i will be doing the same again.0 -
i also took a little inflateable paddling pool to bath baby in but i suppose you could use the kitchen sink.52% tight0

as long as you remember anything the baby needs to get to sleep - toy, dummies etc anything else can be bought - don't ruin your trip worrying about what u might have forgotten.Cleaning the house while children are growing is like shovelling snow when it's still snowing!0
